Ive had my VC13 for a little while now on my 15 acre property. Currently at 55 hours, I used majority of those hours clearing four wheeler trails through my woods. Its been great but, that thumb is garbage, DO NOT use it in it's current state. It will bend like crazy, it needs support from the top mount which it doesn't come with. I only recommend using it once you have that support or a hydraulic cylinder there. DONT leave it in direct rain. The hour meter will fill with water and fail, and make sure the key ignition switch is always covered as that will fail too. The tracks have come off about multiple times for me, but they're very very easy to put back on and no grease required, just a bolt (I've also run my machine very hard through rocks, logs, mud, etc.) Get hose protection on those top hoses sticking out from the boom. Check for loose bolts from factory. The RATO engine in there sucks on start but runs great. You need to install fans to cool the engine, it will heat up so much the gasoline boils. And lastly, it is so slowwwww. I have to ride this thing from one end of my property to the other and it feels like it takes forever. I'm being very constructive here, but end of day it has been an amazingly powerful machine for its size. Definitely more power than it weighs. And has done some surprisingly heavy work for me. Hope you enjoy yours as much as Ive enjoyed mine.
Thank you for all the information sounds like pretty good machine so far for you but I will probably have over 100 hours on it by summer so I’m going to hope for the best after I get a good engine on it . And I’m ordering fans now. Thank you for the info.
@@whataworld4894 Awesome, I subscribed. Will watch how it goes for you since we have the exact same model. Ill let you know if I end up having any major issues.
You’re probably right but they want too much for a broken down machine around this area. I looked for several years but I needed a smaller machine too and easy and cheap to work on.
