Hey what's up brother! I wanted to let you know that on the skeletool there is a lock handle that you can press down on to release the bit from the bit driver! And it makes it so much easier to get the bit out! It is a release button at least I have it on my skeletool so unless you have a very old one then yours should have one as well... let me know if that works for you
Good luck with the Spyderco mine has been retired after a week it's pretty bad. Hot spots on the handle I've chipped the blade and snapped the tip off. I'll never waste money on another one. They slice ok but hold a edge worse then my $20 DeWalt knife. I also had a para 2 and just don't understand how people like them unless they do nothing but open boxes with them.
I have a powerpint. To keep it tightly gripping the bits I used a ranger band. I have since replaced it with a Powerlitre. For some reason SOG chose to put a latch on that model but not on the Powerpint.
The PowerPine is a great tool! Huge improvement comparing to Leatherman. Knife is not that great even for the money. Spyderco have a lot of good blades but this is not one of them. As for flashlight, would highly recommend Rovyvon keychain flashlights. A lot of options from 20 usd & up. And they are on another level comparing to traditional AA/AAA. Thanks for sharing ;)
I love the PowerPint for its size, but the steel is too soft. I have barely used it and already some tools are bent or stripped a bit. Those Leatherman bits are meant to lock in like that. There's a button on the size to release them. You don't need pliers to take the bits out. The Leatherman is far superior in quality, but I agree that you get more tools in a smaller package with the PowerPint for sure. I get why you switched.
The curse of crap scissors! The scissors on the my dime won't cut through fishing line, but the ones on my tiny victorinox do! Might have to look at that powerpint.
