Another sweet spot for good deals is booking 9 months in advance. My last flight, I booked in Nov 2020 for an August 2021 trip. I was able to book first class to Cancun for $646. The tickets went up to $2049 before selling out two weeks ago. The trip prior to that, the tickets went up by almost $3000 more than what I paid 9 months prior. 😜
@@Max-sm3fp Delta Airlines. They are back to selling first class tickets for that flight. They stopped selling them when they were blocking seats. The current price for them are $1213. I still came out like a bandit 😊😎
Another tip that ive discovered over time is that every major area of the world have its "central" hub airport which is the ultimate airport for layovers for example if you want travel the cheapest in the far east you should do a layover in hong kong which i think is the hub airport of east asia you can travel from there to all the famous areas of asia like beijing tokyo bangkok singapore or manila in 100$ or even less the same goes for paris or london in europe addis ababa in africa or johanesburg and so on
You say go to the central hub for layovers so that you can go while on layover to other cities towns and places? How long do layovers last ? do they last for days or weeks or sometimes months? Thank you waiting for an answer
@@markeverson5849 i once flew to hong kong and ive been in hong kong for a week and then i bought a ticket to osaka at 100$,it was in 2019 so im not sure those prices are still relevant but when i flew you could find tickets at such prices from hong kong at many dates i personally flew in september,i dont know what is your departure country but from my country a flight to hong kong cost at september 400$ and add it the osaka flight is an additional 100$ While a direct flight to japan from my country costs 1200$!! so ive got to be in two countries at even less than half of the price, off course those prices was before the corona outbreak i didnt checked what are the current prices
@@DonMrLenny oh that's very interesting thank you so much I'm from Southern Missouri Ozarks USA my name is Mark I'm only thinking of maybe flying out of the country some day and of course I hear of people that go out and fly and stay out there traveling around the world for cheap :-) yes I certainly need to find out how to save as much money as possible and I am very flexible I'm learning but is it safe to leave an automobile at an airport for weeks or months in the parking lot?
@@markeverson5849 i personally never took my car to the airport for such a long periods of time i used to arrive to the airport by train or taxi, but when i was younger and i travelled with my family my father took his car to a special sort of company that is next to the airport that take care of your car while you are away they wash it from time to time and make sure it wont be in the sun and so on,and those kind of companies make a good price for the entire period of travel they wont charge on a daily basis but rather a single fee for the entire period, but personally i dont recommand at all to leave your car at the airport if you are going to travel for a long time its not cheap and also ypur car can be exposed to the sun for a long periods of time.
Thanks for sharing the great info! Is it possible for you to do a tutorial on looking for and booking the flights like with a screen recording actually showing the steps. That would be greatly appreciated for those like me who are new to this.
Yes I will try to make that! I am really busy right now with the start of a new school year and am SO behind on videos! I love this idea though, and I will try to make it! Thanks for the recommendation and I'm so glad you found this video helpful :)
12:40 they most likely took your bags (if the flight was that empty) because the pilots need the weight the bin, and in that case they probably even had some people seats moved around. Thanks for the advice tho :)
Hello sweetheart you know I haven't flown since I was a kid I don't even remember I think it was 19 80 coming from the Florida Keys back to the farm in Wisconsin. I need advice and I need help I'm not very rich. Maybe we can travel together sometime I love to go to Wild places and rough it because roughing it is cheap besides the best places are in the outback a lot of the times. I'm even new to the internet I'm a greenhorn :-) your friend Mark southern Missouri Ozarks USA :-) seriously
@@passportoadventure yes the amazing thing is poor people have the most fun :-) I'm thinking of going to a special place and then stain for several months before ever leaving a place where I can live very cheap. Just give me a fishing pole and we will eat good
