Hi! Elevon is the name of the control surfaces that mix elevator and ailerons, like ELEVator plus ailerONS. Is a common name on flying wings. I think the guys that putted that as as standard mix on the radios gives that name to it. Ps: great vid! Super well achieved project!

It maybe abit small. But then again, i was originally flying it on a 3S 350mah lipo.

I cut off the bottom and angled the top end. If u pause the video, u can see the angle of the tail. I hot glued the elevators so it wont come off.

I used a 2 sides servo arm. So when 1 control surface is down, the other goes up which makes it turn really quick. If the throw is too much, u can adjust it on your radio in the mixer page. Hope that helps

Hey thanks for watching and apologies for the late reply. The trims are only adjusted when flying... when u see the plane pulling to one side or going up too much or going down too much. This was my 2nd plane... so Im just as new! If you asked me, YES!!! You should build it and learn about it as you go along

yup. Or u can just rewire 1 of the ESC wire and use whatever prop u have which is what I did.

thanks bruddah. Glad to be of help. Yes actually, the cockpit was originally hollowed out for the FPV system... but after many crashes.. I decided to mount the FPV system on the outside. Just a basic VTX plugged to the ESC for power and cam wired direct to VTX

Ted Hancock hey thanks mah man! That means alot to me! Yeah was just using those 9gm servos as those would suffice. AUW is about 270gms inclusive of battery! I think with smaller motors it would be much lighter! Thanks for watching bruh!

I used a tri-blade props for a 5” drone. Those racing ones.

The lipo I used was a 3S 350MAH from CNHL u can use your 2200kv motor with 5 inch drone props. The triblade ones. Not biblades.

@@mode2fpv somewhere at the middle of the wing. I placed the lipo at the bottom instead of up front to balance the heavy motor

hey thanks man!!! I tried them on both 2S and 3S(XT30) and I found that it flew better on a 3S. It was flown with a 3S 350mah lipo... but a 550 one or larger would be much better but also dependant on the weight. Not something too heavy as it defeats the purpose. Thanks for dropping by bruh!

Ooooooh! I think its because the parts are possibly no longer available as this video is a few years old. U can try to find similar parts. 5” drone motor and props, 9g servos, 550mah 3S lipo and the chuck glider.

Make sure ur motors are tilted abit to the left, u can add washers on the motor mount. im assuming its leaning right as the prop is counter clockwise. And check the center of the ailerons

I used a 3s 350mah for this build. You can use either a large capacity 2s or a small capacity 3s

for 1000kv it might not fly as well. So I do recommend a higher KV motor.

and i am in india so i cant find those props is there any other alternative

(I take it that it is NOT obligatory?!)
