Cheap Jordan Golf Shoes? | DIY Golf Cleats with Golf Kicks

Tyson found a great deal on some regular Air Jordans for about $50 (lightly used), and we then added our own golf cleat spikes from Golf Kicks (about $32)
Recently, Nike released the Air Jordan 11s in Cool Gray, and they sold out almost instantly. You can buy them on ebay for about $350-400. Once we found out about Golf Kicks golf shoe spikes, we figured, well, if we can’t buy Air Jordan Golf Cleats (or afford them), we will make them ourselves!
The Golf Kicks were pretty cool. When we opened the box, we saw that they came with some complimentary tees, a sticker, ball marker, a sharpie pen, screw driver, and the spikes.
It took us about 30-45 minutes to get the spikes in the shoes. It was a little more difficult than we expected (we ended up using a power drill). But in the end they looked pretty good! One or two we had to screw in a couple of times (one fell out on the course...but we fixed it).
Overall, Tyson loves the Air Jordan’s with the Golf Kicks spikes (and he loved the price). They look good on the course, and work great!
Golf Kicks are a pretty cool company that was featured on Shark Tank. We saw these, and knew we had to try them!

Fun content. Thanks for the rundown on a cool product! I realize this video is a year old, but I’ve watched a couple of your vids now. You guys have fun content but it feels like you’re a million miles from the camera. A couple (totally unsolicited) ideas for how to make it more intimate and more informative going forward. 1. Move the camera closer to the table. Sticking with a wider lens will help keep everything in focus without extra camera operation help. 2. Get close-ups of the product on the table. You’ll have to experiment with the angles but it will be worth it! 3. Cut to a visual reference as you’re talking about it. i.e. the image of the bottom of the real Jordan 11 golf shoe you were mimicking.

How have the cleats held up since installation? How many rounds/what kind of conditions have you played in? They are 🔥

Hey Ryan, cleats have held up pretty good! I have played near 10 rounds of 18 with them and have only lost 1 spike. This spike was one that I was worried about initially when i installed them...before i decided to drill pilot holes. So overall, as long as you make sure and install correctly I have had no problem with them. Thanks for the comment!

Hey Adam, no water or any leakage of any kind. Since this video only one spike has come out and that was due to an installation error. We learned to make pilot holes during the process. Still fully functional and work great!

Thanks for watching H. L., since filming only one spike has fallen out and has since been replaced. We are positive it fell out due to our own mistake in installation as we did not drill a pilot hole.

H. L. No we did not. We just screwed the spikes into the shoe.

@@MrFroidGolf we used a drill bit with a smaller head than the golf kicks screw. It’s just to start it so the spike can go in on track more smoothly. Shouldn’t be necessary for all shoe types though. There were just a couple of difficult parts on these Jordan’s.

pwhittingslow22 hey there! Only one fell off, but that was due to us putting it in the wrong spot. The Jordan’s are a little more complex of a shoe, but we ended up fixing it, and they have worked fine so far. Thanks for watching!

All still together with the exception of 1 spike, however this particular spike was installed incorrectly prior to using pilot holes and power tools.

They held up great for several months, I just ended up getting new golf shoes and pulled the spikes out.

I had these installed on my Jordan 11's for about 6 months and lost only one spike in that time. Since then I have gone back to actual golf shoes (designed for golf). This video now is over 4 years old and my opinion on these has changed a little bit. I believe that shoes designed specifically for golf are your best option. Hope this helps!
