@@TastyBRC hay bro know I didn’t paint it I can’t buy a xb9 body for under $100 over here it’s so bloody expensive I got this off a mugen line for $50 dollars
Fun engine overview Tasty 🎉 - Rod and maybe a set of bearing and she will last another couple gallons - As you know, The carb is very important and Its good to over view these lower cost engines. That way we know for sure what they can do. By the looks of it, you get a good package for the money. ❤
Thank you A2, yes definitely needds and deserves a new conrod and new bearings, this engine is worth every $ it costs, but not sure the owner wnats to rebuild it 😕
@@TastyBRC That’s sad but, that is their choice. - Is the engine discontinued? Can you get parts still? - It is always tough to make the decision to rebuild. If anything, it is great fun and experience to do it. Even if you do not save any money.
Great engine for the price. A bit tame on bottom but mid and top are pretty good. Crank counterweight design is looking better then some higher priced engines...(with handpainted coolinghead)😆 deffinitely replace the conrod ....and bearings too. Sure it will give much more gallons of fun. Great vid again buddy 👊
Yes Kings very good for the price! I wonder if that crankshaft would fit my dusty, pretty sure it will tune better 😆Definitely deserves new bearings and conrod!
Really nice for a entry level engine. Kind of reminds me of the Taiwan RB’s they all were pretty good engines. But they just fell out of favor when they started making them in Asia.
Exactly, RB where very popular when they were made by Novarossi, very expensive too!! Then Rody Roem sold RB Engines .. Now he created VS Engines wich are made by O.S. but not just rebranded O.S. engines, they are made wtih Roems specifically designed crankshafts and based on the 21XZ-B 5 ports, wich are nowadays only made for his engines!!! Very interesting stuff, maybe my next black friday engine 😁
To really understand if the pinch is still ok, you have to know what it is like new. Also, checking to see if the piston skirt doesn’t go higher than the exhaust port, is a true indicator of good pinch. - If it goes above then, the sleeve is near the end of its usable life.
Impressed with the internals to say the least , the engine has a spike in power transitioning from low to mid and high end is ok in my book … the pipe can changes everything . I’d like to get my hands on one of those to try and smooth out the hit and squeeze some more high rpm pull out of it . Did you play w shims ? If you tighten her up she will have much more snap when you jump on the trigger. I just finished an Alpha .23/Gt-R Hybrid and ended up running .10 under the sleeve and nothing under the button lol . She came w .30 stack but .1 in total was the magic number with 30%/10% nitro . I didn’t get to test 30/8 as I have moved onto a Max Gt-Rx for testing .
Yes it's looking very good, 159e, 170$ you cant beat that! It will definitely run better with a pipe like the hipex 2135 or that iealsi 2186 but didnt tried, I only burnt 1.5 tanks as this engine is not mine, the conrod is pretty worn out, I dont want to kill it! Did I read well, .10 under the sleeve on 0 under the button head You like them tight for sure😆
hey Taste B I live in Europe just like you and I can't buy nitro with a high percentage of content if you don't race on circuits etc etc, my question is the following, do you think it is a waste of money to use low nitro content in big blocks? Another, it is the first time that I have a big block big red .28 and it consumes a lot of nitro, I had an Os21 TM and the difference in consumption is abysmal, what do you think about these variables that I am explaining to you? Are large blocks in Europe worth buying? sorry for the long message..
Any engine will run with low nitro fuel but not any engine will run and tune GOOD.. Some engines like it, other dont, my SH28 8p was not tuning very good with low nitro fuel but from what I hear your big red is running pretty good!!! As long as the temp is good, bash it! And yes those bigblock engines suck a lot of fuel, the OS21TM is much better IMO than any bigblock currently available, you will always get a much better fuel mielage with a .21 and most race .21 will outperform a bigblock engine Where are you located??
You wont be disappointed ! Thake goog care of it, temp, preheat and it will last very long. I definitely recommend the hipex 2135, this pipe will help a lot at bottom end power
So i bought pipe, basically i ran about 1.8l of racing experience break in fuel and engine refuses to run cold it stays always 140° and goes even higher, in manual says temp over 130° much shut off, and there's bubles in fuel line near carb niple, i don't understand too. in my eyes i don't like this engine. glow plug is medium @@TastyBRC
@@lukassslukasss1864 add me on mssger and send me a video I would like to see your engine running. Maybe I can help you. Check if your fuel tank and the fuel lines are sealing properly, this engine is very easy and consistent, I think you may have a airleak
