the name acrylgel for these products comes from their properties to move like acrylic and cure like a gel.. its not supposed to look like you actually mixed gel+acrylic as you could do this at home (diy) as she said that she had tried and she had the same result...

I've tried 2 brands of cheap Chinese polygel, UR SUGAR and Yinikiz (tho as I'm writing this, the latter sounds Turkish - written with the dotless I's - and I haven't really checked where it was made, I got only one bottle and switched brands afterwards because of the loooong delivery time). Both were very good and soft, they were pretty and lasted :D I can definitely recommend UR SUGAR as an awesome cheap brand for all hobbyists, I've tried their polygel, color gel polishes, base and top coats and there were all very good, now waiting to try their builder gel in a bottle :) No point spending all that ridiculous money if you just do nails at home or are on a tight budget. Anyway, thanks for this video, because obviously there are worse cheap products as well.

The base gel is ment to have a tacky layer n the tacky layer is ment to be left on for the acrylic-gel to adhere to and with most of these based products a patting motion is easier to get it roughly into place then stroking it smooth once u have got it where u want it. And it will be sticky on top the same as all gel products are (builder gel) so u need to remove the tacky layer once you are sure you don’t need to add any more layers. thy work better with gel brushes and if used with a form generally need curing underneath once u remove the form. Most polygel type products file easily I have not used this exact brand though so my comment is based on wat I no based on my use of other polygels.

I LOVE the brand gelike. It's exactly like gelish brand and I wear it for 3 weeks at a time with no lift or breakage. It's thick and doesn't move while you work with it AND it files like butter and the dust is heavy so it settles immediately down and doesn't fly around in the air. It's only 4 bucks oon Ali express or eBay as well and it doesn't require a base coat I just use my mia secret dehydrator and primer and like I said.. no lifting, no problems, 3 weeks of wear time. It's so easy to move on the nail and gives gorgeous results and when I use dual forms with it I dont even have to file anything but the sides.. the top of the nail is smooth as glass and crystal clear. They also have it in several colors as well. Gelike is the only cheap brand I have found that ISN'T like them just putting builder gel in a Tube. Its the only cheaper polygel I've found that is ACTUALLY polygel and acts like it. Good luck.

Ok, first of all I would like to say thank you for letting us know where to purchase this product from. So before I’d gone and done one big purchase, I’d asked to try out their sample. They sent me one 15ml base & top coat and a gorgeous 15ml red gel polish and number 25 polygel “of my choosing.” I only had to pay for shipping which was like £11. I had no problem working with the product (I used my normal gel brush like the madam glam) once cure properly this Roniki polygel is hard as HARD! But, I had neither problem filing nor shaping it. The most beautiful thing I’d love about it was the fact that it had a baby-boomer finish. I have no chipping and no breakage. I have had the product on for nearing 3 weeks Saturday 7th July and still no chipping or lifting. Natural nails just growing! So I took it upon myself and tried it on a client and they said they love the stuff and their own nails have grown so much and it’s been two weeks 2day! So she's coming in for a refill etc on Saturday to have the same product again. (I have use the Bluesky on my nails the same time as the Roniki and no lifting or chipping from either products) that is my opinion on this product. I recommend it because I’ve tried it and have no problem; however, everyone else is vary

Hi I have a question to ask, you know when you purchased this product from Alibaba, did you bought it straight from the site??? Because I'd place an order and was told to cancel it because the payment went to another account and the price they have as well as shipping is wrong and was asked by one of the lady who works there via WhatsApp to make purchase through her. Sounds dodgy so I cancelled it and told her no, I just wanted to know if you’d had any problems.

I went to an asian nail salon before covid alert here to get a full set of poly gel nails done french manicure designed. They looked beautiful but oh my god the product they used was harder than granite! Then covid, and my nails were growing out... I couldn't file the free edge down AT ALL so I tried to soak them off with professional acetone tip and extension remover. They didn't soften at all! I tried alternating filing the top surface and then soaking them to soften the hard coating to file a bit more as I went. It literally took from late morning until just before dinner to get to my actual fingernails. I'm licensed and was being extremely careful to not damage my nails but the product came off so badly it damaged my nails anyway! Never again. I resorted to keeping a coating of professional UV builder gel on my nails to protect my oversensitive nail beds until my natural, healthy nails were able to fully grow out in about 3 months. I am surprised the salon was able to use that product here in the US legally though. The catch for the salons using it is, if you want your nails filled or removed, or anything... you HAVE to go back to THEM for help because only they have the product and other products to deal with removal or what-have-you. Buyer beware: PLEASE look into the salon and specifically what products they use before you sit down in the chair.

Dear Anastasia, A few things: 1. I hope you aren’t getting upset by the harsh comments if the people who haven’t even bothered to listen properly what you are saying regarding the brush of choice or the use of the file or claiming that you should do your research when you clearly state that you couldn’t find any regarding this brand :) 2. I enjoy all your videos, especially the polygel ones because I find the concept interesting. I ordered a few weeks ago from Venalisa, they are a brand in China, very good feedbacks, you can find their store on Aliexpress. Shippin takes a while but the price is affordable. I never wore any nails extensions, i have soft thin nails prone to breakage, I’d love to add a bit more strength to them. I don’t like my nails longer than my fingers, I am looking forward to this experience. 3. I really really love how you are so careful cu sculpt the nails so that you minimize filing afterwards. 4. Don’t pay attention to the snowflakes getting so insulted that you compared the orange tint in the polygel with Trump’s skin tone. It is on the orange side, it’s weird and that is the truth. :)) 4. Can you do more polygel videos? :)) 5. Again, your skills as a nail tech and artist are amazing. 6. I admire your English and pronunciation. A reminder to those who get so shocked that you have a Russian accent: I’d very much love to hear your Russian skills! :) 7. A bit off topic, but do you have any tutorial on how to use an e-file on yourself? Any tips for the non dominant hand? Thanks for a very clear and informative video!

no point in using a base coat when you remove the tacky later. You're only supposed to remove the tacky layer when you're done with gel application. That layer is meant to be there to help the next layer of gel stick. But you did a great job considering the product you were using!

Both of the above are wrong. Polygel is a trademarked name. We use it like how people use coke or q-tip as a generic term even though those are brands' names. They're all the same kind of product, though individual composition obviously can differ between makers.

Girl, first of all you are not using the right brush. You are using an acrylics brush and you should use one similar to a gel brush. Then, you fully cured it before pinching it, and you shouldn't do that. Remember that it is a polygel, not gel or acrylics. Do your research.

Thank you, Alexa. I used to use synthetic gel brushes for polygel, but kolinsky works better for me (when working with original polygel). As longer bristles allow to do better cuticle work and smooth the surface. But this gel is very hard so, like I said in the video, synthetic brush would definitely work better. I pinched after curing 50% of the full cure time and yes, it was obvious that it was still too late, which I mention in the video.

the biggest thing i learned with poly gel is to work it slowly. we're so used to fast fast fast with acrylic so it doesn't set up, it takes a while to realize you don't have to work so fast with polygels--- and you shouldn't. working slower reduces bubbles to zero and you have the time to perfect the shape so filing is minimal after curing. with hard powder acrylics there's a tendency to "get it on there fast and you can file it down after it sets". different products. different application techniques

I recommend Anail. It's very cheap but you should use a drill to finish. Emery board is not hard to use but it gets smoother with a drill.

I have used the moyra acrylgel, which is 19.00 for 39ml, and vrenmol polygel from aliexpress, which was About 6 dollars for 30 ml. They are different. The moyra is more gritty, and the vrenmol is more gel like, but i like them both, and they are both very easy to file.

This is way off topic ... Have you ever addressed the difference between the work of Russian nail techs or manicurists versus American/others? Suzie Moskal called Russian work "exquisite". Nice! I would Google it for myself, but I really don't know what to search--the results I get all have to do with dry e-filing criticisms. ;) I haven't watched enough videos closely enough to be able to pick up on what's done differently. Is it the training? A style or taste difference? Is there a prevalent Russian perfectionist gene? LOL. Just curious (anyone, please chime in). Thanks. :)

I may have found at least a partial answer. It makes sense. Maybe still reveling in freedom--now they can really express themselves as individuals and artists (and the clients can enjoy the fruits of their gifts and labors) with a choice of techniques and quality products? Sorry. Geeking. :) www.nailsmag.com/article/114191/internationails-russia-delivering-choice-and-customization

Tracy U spot on. They are known for their e-filing and exquisite fine nail art. I can easily tell the diference from a Russian manicure and a normal one in photos. The cuticle work is very clean.

I don't know what has changed since you posted this but I clicked on your link to this product and got ready to order when I noticed it said 'minimum 200 pieces to order'. I don't need 200 tubes of gel to sample. Too bad.

I use Joya Mia Onyx (their brand of polygel). It's got a bit of a gritty texture but not as hard to work with as this product. It comes in clear, black, light pink, topaz pink (clear pink) and cover pink. The product is also easy to file. It's $25 a tube and ao far I haven't had an issue. I did notice slight heat spikes once in awhile but I think it's user error. I am considering doing a video on them but just haven't found the nerve lol. I want to check the colors and see if they are remotely close to this brand. It comes in white also I forgot to mention that. Lol

I have used a couple of well known brand poly gels and when ordering nail art supplies on a very affordible app, I noticed that they had some very pretty glitter poly gels in very small tubes. When I received them, I went to swatch them and it became a big mess. The gels were so sticky that it would stick to the brush. I tried IPA and slip solution, the more I used, the thinner and stickier the gel got. Never again! I don't mind paying for quality.

Hello :) I have been trying polygel from Aliexpress - brand name - Modelones or SexyMix This is the same product. I love it, it is very easy to make a perfect surface and to file it. I also heard great opinion about Lady Misty, Mshare and Canni (second edition of Canni!) polygels,Will you test some dual forms? Is it worth to buy it? What do you think?

Hi, Can I ask U something, since U have alot of experience from Polygel. I have used polygel for a while and I follow the instructions completely. But now I noticed that my own nail is coming of the nailbed....it is happening to almost all of the nails. It is mostly on the sides, but it´s scary because it feels like the whole nail is going to come off soon. And I get really tender on my nails after I applied the polygel. They hurt for a few days. It's like the polygel is pulling my own nail from the nailbed. Do you have any similar experience? Or ideas what it can be? Thank you!

I noticed the label said Acryl-gel which may mean acrylic is added and why some seemed gritty. Also I have found that some polygel products need a little more time under the UV light (that is why it is still sticky). Plus you do not know how old some products are or how long they sat around before they were sold. Also, did you ever find out what the difference was between the base primer and the base PH?
@Nailcou
@Nailcou 6 лет назад
Yes, base PH is more like dehydrator and primer is actual primer.
@gail8834

There are Chinese brands that are really good I use a few of them and thy are nothing like the one you used at all thy are easy to sculpt with using a gel brush easy to file and last really well I love the ones I use. Thy r firm u do need gel cleanser or alcohol to keep the brush damp to stop the product sticking to the brush the colder the product is the the firmer it is the warmer the softer but also the stickier so its easier to work with colder.

I Am so extremely serious here learning and then you just made me laugh about the orange man over there. Good one!. Thank you hahahahahaha. & Yes love I did with the gel bought not long ago which I gave away. Forget name but ordered from joom. No matter how much you cure it, the thing never cured and stayed as gum base it will not come off nail but was gummy and disgusting. Will not file at all it was too chewy as a gum base. Disgusting.
