Made this video a while ago and wasn't going to post it due to showing myself pretty stupid drunk, but...I was about to delete the video and thought WTH right...so here it is, a buyers beware...
LOL...Short answer, if you did not personally send it out to a reputable lab to be calibrated, I would not trust even a $1,000,000,000 breathalyzer. I work with very expensive measuring devices and they have to be calibrated annually and double checked against other calibrated reference standards, and there are times when the calibration fails, so even the remote thought of trusting a $6 un-calibrated piece of equipment is not recommended. :-) But you do give me a good idea for getting drunk for science.
Wow 0.8 for most states in USA in aus we have a limit of 0.5 and 0.2 for truck drivers and there is zero tolerance for the first 4 years of your licence.. Thought you guys might be interested.
I have that same thing. The warm up is literally a warm up of the element that measures the BAC. Mine seems a little more accurate but in reality these things are worthless. In Holland you can drive (when over 21 and having a license for 5 years IIRC) with 0.05. Even when police stop you their machine is just an indicator, if it says your over the limit you go to a station and after 20 mins they test you on a real breath analyser machine. If you drink no more than 1 standard volume drink every one and a half hours you should generally be ok. Better to not drink and drive at all.
I would highly recommend taking the fireball whiskey chilled in a freezer or with an artificial ice cube if you prefer it neat, or with some ice if you prefer that for chilling, all in all recommend taking it cooled, really makes it taste very nice. Also I believe the alcohol assimilates into your body more as the hours go on, as well as the lingering notifiers to the device, allowing it to take a more accurate reading. Finally, if you enjoy the taste of Schnapps, or of various fruits, you should do a review of Dubois Schnapps, my favorite is Peach or Plum Schnapps, though whichever you prefer if you like Schnapps at all. I actually think it is fairly accurate. .08 is fairly inebriated for most people. I've had mine tested from an actual breathalyzer machine and at .05 I was pretty sloppy. At .09 I couldn't function normally. I'd be curious for you to get a higher end model and do this test again side by side.
A while back I saw an episode of shark tank and this guy had created a breathalyzer that plugs into the headphone jack of your iPhone, apparently it is very accurate. The app that went with the device also had a list of local transportation contacts near your area so if your drunk you can have a taxi pick your ass up. It sounds really interesting and would like a review if you are interested. It's called the breathometer it is $50.
I noticed the same thing. Maybe the fun he had in Vegas is what influenced him to want to drink more to bring back the fun memories while being there... that is how I felt after being there for my 21st birthday a few years ago... either way, who cares, even if that isn't the reason why he drinks more. He has a woman now and is having fun, so drink up to that! People change for different reasons. But I agree with you, it is funny.
ya know its funny since this is the internet and all people will make assumptions and after seeing beer reviews and this video people will assume I just drink everyday, just not the case, I use to be against alcohol big time because my father drank too much when I was a kid, then one day I realized im not him and I can do what I want without fear of being an alcoholic, and I proved myself right as an adult I cna drink from time to time and not need it or even crave it...
I bought one for $30 from a Walgreens a while back. It was junk too. Without me drinking at all it would read 0.3-0.5 after drinking an entire 5th of rum in 3 hours it said I was 0.7. I returned it and never tried another one.
Lol why would you get the small bottle of fireball? you can get the big one which has more than double for only a few dollars more. At least here in georgia.
My college muddies and I had the same idea so we bought a very similar cheap breathalizer and had the same problem. Only ours said we were .08 or higher anytime we got over 4 or 5 drinks. The cheap ones just aren't that accurate. Too bad.
Jeff wondering if paperwork came with breathalyzer saying it was for entertainment use? I guess the one that matters is the one that cops use to measure you with when they pull someone over for suspected DUI?
I haven't drank in a few years so If I even take a small shot of anything I start feeling it if I drank like you did in this video I might just end up naked in the middle of the street with a carrot in my ass.
Wulfle Well it was .10 they can hardly handle the number of DUI cases now after going down to .08 i could only imagine the case load if it got dropped lower.Its all politics and living in a free society.Personal responsibility people
Yes, you were indeed rather drunk, ha. Slurring, wrong words, a bit shaky, all the classic signs of being drunk. That does not seem all that far off to me. Most states have ridiculously high blood alcohol levels. 0.08% is rather drunk for most people except maybe hardcore drinkers. Also everyone gets drunk at different levels. Some people have such high tolerance they can use their breath to start the car, ha, while other people pass out after a beer.
Hmm, 3 1/2 hours? 5 beers and 10 shots? What was the proof of that bottle? Was it low like snapps? Could be right if you have a decent metabolism. Normally you get rid on 1 beer/drink per hours.
Yeah that thing is total crap. You can say each one of your drinks should raise your BAC around .025 per drink and I'd say you were probably in a .15 range. The PBTs we use at my work cost 400-500 dollars and are pretty dead accurate. If you want to know more message me.

she is kind of camera shy, not all that much but she knows I have some trolls that just look for a reason to talk shit so she doesnt like putting herself in a position to get shit on for no reason but its more me protecting her way more than it is her not wanting to be on camera she doesnt care all that much either way, people can say what they want about me but I read a message or comment about family or her, I see red and do stupid things

0% is wrong in itself. Even if you haven't had a drink for a year you'd still register some amount of alcohol. Edit: Damn you can drink. It took me a while to get that kind of tolerance I can only imagine the ammounts you'd be able to handle if you drank.
