Great info, great coupon code and 211,95 + free shipping and 10w bt speaker as a gift is a crazy price.. I watched more reviews, but i'm glad I clicked yours! So thank you very much for taking the time and share your experiance with us, I think this will be a greatsolution for watching 1080p movies/streaming service and retro gaming/steam👍
I myself own the Wemax Dice (probably the same Xiaomi projector as yours). The Dice is supposedly 700 Ansi Lumens. Other reviewers have tested this and in fact WHEN plugged into the wall, it outputs ~650-700 Ansi Lumens. The X5, according to the same reviewers outputs Max 600 Ansi Lumens. But here's the catch. According to them, the colours/contrast are way off... They need calibration. After calibration the brightness is closer to 350 Ansi Lumens. So. Is there any chance you didn't use the "VIEW" mode on your Xiaomi projector and was in ECO mode instead? I don't see how the Dice could be outperformed by the X5. The X5 is a 70% srgb (also 70% ntsc) projector. The Dice is a 100% Ntsc projector. So colour wise, it is superior. Sharpness wise the Dice is worse. I totally agree. There is a constant grain due to the DLP technology I suppose... Optically wise, the Dice is A Grade. I again doubt that the X5 has better optics. (btw, I also own an Epson EH-TW7200 so I have a slightly good reference for my claims). All in all you have made me curious... Wanbo claims an astounding 1100 Ansi Lumens on a 200€ Unit... Reviewers say that it's more like 550-600 Ansi Lumens if not calibrated. I find it extremely hard to believe that a 200€ projector can have a proper LED source and cooling system able to output 1100 Ansi Lumens... However I'd love your opinion. If it is even close to as good as they make it out to be, I surely would like to purchase one.
I did underexpose my camera by -1EV as Wanbo highlights were totally blown out. And still Wanbo had slightly blown highlights, so it's clearly a brighter model in the comparison. Though the only advantage it gives on Wanbo you can have a bigger screen over +100 inch.. with xiaomi it gets really washed out after going over 80 inch size. Let's say, even if LED power output is the same on both, Wanbo has way larger lens aperture which means way more light passing just like on a wide aperture camera lens. So I think, the main limitation on Xiaomi is just the compact projector size, limiting the size of the lens and total power output. I guess, I could make a part 2 of this video. Measuring power consumption out of socket and check how they do with 4k videos, comparing gaming response time. While I still have both models.
@FishFish1995_Many of your arguments are right and I totally agree with you. but let me tell you one story. I owned three dlp projectors the last ten years. ViewSonic, xgimi and Anker. And on ALL of this three projectors after two years of usage I got dead pixels (stucking mirrors) on the dmd Chip. Meanwhile I got a 3lcd Epson and a few 1lcd China ones, and all of them are working without problems. For me, I never buy a dlp projector again. It's nice to see that the LCD technology is on a level with the dice today's. And then there is the number one argument. The price. I don't want to spend thousands of bucks in a laser or dlp projector any more. So I will definitely check out the X5 the next month. Gladly the overall picture quality is on a really good level today's. And I didn't have to say...if you once use images minimum of 150 inch, you never can go back to small tv's😅
This is my first projector, focus and keystone are great, but I think I will return it. Can anyone tell me if they are always this loud? I can't watch comfortably unless I have headphones on my ears.
hi! thanks for video! so this wanbo can be used for tracing painting aswell..i mean at the end you showed projecting picture on a wall...do you need any special program to connect it to your phone or laptop? or its simple bluetooth or whatever connection? also....can i choose smaller screen where to project by adjusting or calibrating projector..sorry if sounds silly im new in this. thanks in advance!
I did not even try playing through the HDMI only streaming games wireless from PC. But I did not notice any lag or delay at least playing Cyberpunk and Forza over Moonlight. I think, this projector is more than plenty for any console game.
