guinea pigs are in my country kept with rabbits as a monitor against diseases .... guinea pigs are more prone to lung diseases and if there is a starting disease you will see it at guinea pigs first and you can treat your rabbits and save money by not just letting them die ( sorry for my english I´m not native speaker)
I use to breed show quality Dutch rabbits about 10 years ago and I’d sell the imperfect ones at the flea market for $25-$40 a piece. The solids would sell for $25, the broken coat ones for $30 and blues for $40. I raised them as socialized pets so that had a little bit to do with the higher cost but I still can’t believe how cheap y’all have them for
Boy I just drool when you do these auction videos!! Nothing like that up here in Montana. I'd be just like you though, I have the urge to buy just from watching. Keep up the auction videos. And how come you are not trapping pigeons anymore?
I can't really say much on bunnies in the states but the trend here in Germany it seems that the larger breeds sell best almost all year except for the month or so before Easter, where Dwarf species sell best. Mid sizes have a more of an up and down in price and sales. Now Homer's and Racers go for a premium price no matter what time of the year but seem to sell better and for more in Autumn and early Winter. Chickens, Ducks, and Geese sell well most of the time. Turkeys are starting to rise in popularity now and are really starting to rival chickens in sales.
g pigs are great to have running loose around any other animal cages, they eat anything and keep all spills cleaned up, outcompeting rats and mice because they are active by day. for vit c I give them overripe bananas .25 a lb
I used to breed Guinea pigs within 6 months I had almost a 100 of them I only had 4 to start with they don't jump they don't dig they don't bite really if you need a grazer get a Guinea If you want them for food they're great for food
