Got a 2008 bmw 325i touring thats done 220,000kms now and looking at a Lexus GS 430 because my work is now 55km one way and mostly all straight how your guys Lexus GS's on long hauls?
All the cars mentioned have really good power even in these days...love the mauraider I was gonna get one back in the day but the 95 Taurus sho changed my mind...
Haha nice! My last car was on 05 LGT for this very reason :) While it's the same STI block the turbo was different though, and only the spec B had a 6spd manual
@@MrGeezil I mean, I don't know what a cheap price will be to you man, but I think they are fair cheap, if we look at the potential and luxury they have.
I have a 2006 lexus gs430, and a 2011 lexus ls 460. My LS has 80 more hp, but the GS feels just as fast if not faster from a dig, but like the video says the top-end is really where my GS stands out. It easily got to the 150 range when I took it to Mexico 🇲🇽
@@bigDnMD I had a 2004 rx330 that I sold with 223,000. The reliability with that suv was absolutely insane! Never had any problems in the 5 years I had it besides a few normal wear and tear stuff. The absolute best cars are Lexus
I owned the 2005 Legacy GT wagon. That year was the only year the wagon was offered in a 5-sod and that’s why I got it. Hell of a sleeper, esp once you put a down pipe on it and dropped a tune in it.
I found a Lexus GS 350 in mint condition with only 42k miles. I had to sell it about 6months ago. I was going to keep it forever but needed to sell it.😔😭😭😭 The GS will last about 500k miles easy.
My mother in law's got a Toyota blade master, equipped with the is350 motor detuned to 276 hp, its a sleeper cause it looks like a late model corolla, smoked heaps of cars in it.
I’m buying a 2013 genesis Rspec soon fully loaded luxury sedan with all the modern goods like heated and cooled front and rear seats electric shades that go up and down on the windows memory seats and the best part of all a beefy 5.0 V8 that makes 429 horsepower and it’s rwd all for around 13k and as an added bonus you can fit a gt500 supercharger on it if you want to go that route
Your risking a "bomb on wheels" but there are many early to mid 2000s jaguars that have that Supercharged V8---even some after 2010 that are affordable. When they run they are as fast as some modern cars and the mid to top end on them is fantatsic.Downside is parts are horribly expensive if soemthing goes wrong.
Jags are, for the most part, garbage. Yes, they are fast but most of the time they don't run right and they become money pits two or three years after they roll off the lot.
The 2006-2011 GS350 dont have a 2JZ. They have a GSR-FE engine. Also the GS350 comes with a 6spd Sequential auto and the GS430 comes with an 8spd Sequential auto. They are considerably fast and fun cars though. Love my 08 GS350. She tops out around the 147 mph mark
A lot of mistakes in the information you said...Mazda 6 is 2.3l 5 cylinder Motor not 4. Lexus Gs300 with 2JZ was made only till 2004 in the second generation. GS300 3rd gen was with 3.0 V6 Motor and GS430 was with 6 speed automatic transmission not 5...
Couldn't find a Ls430 nearby, got a G35xS instead. I LOVE it. 😂 I would prefer a Lexus V8, I'm used to working on them, but the VQ35HR is a fun little project motor also! My car isn't slow... I'll say that much. 😆
@@AliasProductions801 I have an is250 and I don't even bother racing any debadge Lexus that messes with me. The 350 doesn't mess around 😂 if it's not another 250 I'm good.
Yup. I gave up in trying to find one. All the ones I came across were either run into the ground, or ridiculously overpriced. But the biggest turn-off was its lack of reliability.
@@jayg5888 Good car as long as you live in a nice, warm climate without snow. Sadly they have one of the worst rust protections ever. Same with Mazda 3 of that same time frame.
So the cars that are in the video are a Subaru Impreza WRX STi, or a station wagon/estate car/shooting brake variant thereof, a Lexus GS 350, a Mazda MazdaSpeed6, and a Ford Crown Victoria, am I right?
Why mention the GS430 when you got of said 08-11 GS460 which has 342HP and super smooth and reliable V8 / 8-Speed Automatic with sequential shift? Yes there is less then 1,800 only made but it’s the ultimate sleeper for your money!
@@lexman8678 ehhh I’ll pass it’s the least reliable one and I don’t want to deal with the maintenance. The 460 is super rare to find in low miles and mint shape which is what I have and it’s soooo much more fun! The resale on a hybrid is tough also no one really wants them.
