The most underrated if not forgotten song off of that CD. Absolutely should have been the lead radio cut, if the whole Red Ant thing hadn't imploded. Only heard "Say Goodbye" pushed on WXRT. Sure wish they'd do this one live again in future shows. Truly a great tune.
have always loved CT (my Fav band from the very beginning, I'm a Rockford local), but not a music aficionado, to me this has a definite "Sargent Pepper's" feel to it, so don't know if they wrote this during the George Martin days? either way, CT Rocks! now, then and always!
@@MultiChillidogCheap Trick is my favorite rock band too.For 37 years and going strong. This is from their 1997 album and was produced by Cheap Trick and Ian Taylor. The Beatles were a huge influence,of course. 😊
Bun E is the most incognito rockstar ever! But when he sits down at the kit you know right off! CheapTrick must be seen live to really appreciate them!
I saw them in a bar after this album came out in 97 . What a great band , my ears rang for days and I got a bunch of guitar picks from Rick Nielsen... :)
Saw them at the Birchhill nightclub in NJ after this album came out. Amazing show, loud. They opened with I want you to want me and the show kept getting better and better after that
What a great voice!!!!!!!!! Not made in the studio like others, to many to to mention and not worth the time! CHEAP TRICK the most under appreciated band ever! IMHO!
This is one of my favorite CT songs of all time. It is a forgotten album; unfortunately its forgotten by the band as well. The song writing and production quality is top notch. I would love to hear this song live again.
Great tune I've been a CT / on a great Album I've been a fan since back in 76. Hey guys if you ever read these posts my uncle did some recording for you back in the day. He now lives in Wadsworth Il. I grew up in Aurora and have seen you many times. Rock on CT and you deserve the RRHF no doubt ,but it will happen!
fantastic song,Cheap trick have always been underated here in the UK,the're playing London in november and tickets are only £20,unbelievable for a band this great,i luv the Ttick,Peter,London
Great song! Great band! And Great singer! ❤❤ Rock on Cheaptrick! I been lucky to see you guys play twice now, first time in 2013 and this year! 10 year span, but Love you guys always! Yall, had made my days so much better when my days weren't so good! Whenever, I hear a song, my mind forgets everything around me. Keep calm and Cheaptrick on!
Agreed. Even so to the point that Rick Neilsen can be forgiven for that stupid, hidieous devil handlebar moustache/goatee he took to sporting during this period. THANK GOD that didn't last!
Too bad they didn't put the 1997 album out instead of Woke Up With a Monster as the follow-up to 90's Busted. Monster had some good cuts but the Red Ant '97 was start to finish great, and once the label folded only die hards like us know it well.
Max Weinberg plays with Bruce Springsteen.Until recently...his son is has taken over much of the duties now. That's Bun E. Carlos (Bunny). He has been with CT since the beginning. I just saw them last Friday at Celebrate Virinia touring for their new album "The Latest". Great show! Bunny isn't doing all of the tour dates though. Rick Nielson's son is doing alot of the shows. It's funny,Bunny hasn't changed a bit. He has looked 65 since he was 25,but he sure can play the the drums!!
