The whole watch industry thrives on price desensitization. Panerai straps sells for $300. Now that doesn’t seem bad for someone who’s spending $6k on a watch. Until you realize you can get a strapping boot for that price, which obviously need more leather, stitching and craftsmanship to make.
Alex You see a masterpiece and the only thing coming to your mind is the usual bland Rolex fanboy’s talking point and obsession with so called “value”?
I like the Lange watch much but it is vomit compared to someone rocking a Greubel Forsey QP A Equation. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0tZ_BU2BQMk.html The Lange is 144p compared to the Greubel Forsey which would be 8k. :-/ Heck, you couldn't even buy a Greubel Forsey 3 hand movement for the price you pay for the Lange. You can buy 3 of those Lange perpetual calendar watches for the price of 1 Greubel Forsey Signature 1 watch.
Christopher Bieniarz this is not just horrendous trolling, it is deeply offensive. Your anti-german sentiment is not appreciated. As Mr. Avalon, above, says, fuck off! Such a statement is as bad as Hitler himself, or rather worse in that you’re too stupid to learn from his mistakes. Also, stop politicising everything. Not everything is about flags and flag waving. And if the real reason you made that idiotic statement is to troll and to get a reaction... take a long hard look at yourself and then tell yourself what you see... (n.b. no one else is interested).
Geralt Avalon No matter what @Christopher Bieniarz does in his life - that stolen kiss in the apple orchard as a boy, holding his infant son in his arms for the first time, cradling his beloved in a thunder storm on a summer’s night, watching his daughter accept her applause at her first ever piano recital, seeing his children graduate from university, watching his grandchildren gather round his hospital bedside to say their goodbyes as he takes his last breaths - he’ll ALWAYS be that dickhead from RU-vid who made an idiotically hateful comment on a watchfinder video.
The person in charge for the camera should be awarded some prize. Incredible to catch all those details as if they were as big as the whole watch. Much respect for this channel in general, the voice is so calm i coule listen to it for days. Thanks for the hard work, we really appreciate it.
Gosh I have fallen in love with Zenith And A.L&S .Watching these watches gives me a diff pleasure not everyone can understand These are not just watches they are a pleasures of life Life is made up of small moments after all
I think the GMT and the perpetual calendar are the most useful complication in a watch. The zenith el Primero Chrono Moon Phase is a beautiful perpetual calendar watch. The A Lange & Sohne Langematik Perpetual is a beautiful masterpiece of mechanical art. Indeed it is a bargain at $60,000 if you compare it with the price of a Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar.
Agreed. But, this music reminds me of music emanating from speakers, (generally PC, or phone speakers) of a different genre altogether. Anyone else hearing the "Debbie is taking care of Dallas" type music? ROFL. These are very helpful videos to have, and use as a tool while refining collections
Zenith Chronomaster wearer here albeit in preferable silver/white dual. Loved the video if both but honestly the Z is the only watch you’ll ever need only surpassed by my now sold Patek 2526. It’s in-house, first auto chronograph, accurate to tenth second, calendar jumps at midnight, no chore setting it either. Swapped the bracelet for blue Hirsch croc on deploy clasp. Search Guido Pelagos review if it you’ll buy like I did and I paid £1750 in 2015 now worth 3-5k
"In fact why don't we just look at it for a bit." * Right you're. *Pause Video * Click Full screen *Resume Video Tears begin to form... good thing I'm sitting down.
When the Lange music came on I thought "What the hell is this?" but then I started to enjoy it and even found myself snapping my fingers along with the music. Great video!
What a great video. Fantastic. Quality of video material, choice of music, editing ....fantastic. Great Job! Maybe the best Watchfinder & Co. video so far!
My birthday is March 1, so I have been thinking of getting an annual calendar. Any suggestions out there at the affordable end of the spectrum? Wish that Zenith was an annual calendar as I rather like it...
Cheap? Zenith isn't even affordable. I appreciate the content but this claim is ridiculous. At the very beginning I was wondering what the third, cheap watch would be...
Yeah, 2 awesome watches but the A. Lange & Sohne is a museum master piece. I dont think there is anything out there to rival it. If there is please educate us.
Wonderful voice over and imagery as always but a £4,000 watch is not a cheap watch. If having a watch with phases of the moon displayed is your essential criteria, then there very nicely made affordable time pieces from Seiko and Citizen.
Before 5:10 I thought that the more expensive watch was not worth it at all. But your words and the way you convinced me to view the identical watch made me want it. Focusing works: "look at it, look at it" - said gently Relatable thought: "clear like wearing new glasses [which you cannot stand]" Emotionally appealing:"brings a tear to the eye" You sir are an experienced sales person.
I love the Zenith, would make a great every day watch...but the Lange is just spectacular. But even if I was worth $100 million, I'd feel nervous wearing it all the time. I'd lock it away and take it out now and then to admire it.
I regret destroying my grandpa's old old watches, they were the first automatic wrist watch I have ever seen. I was young and didn't realise the value of those watches. Damn it!
While I'll never be able to afford the Lange (and quite possibly the Zenith either), the video was brilliant, as always. This channel is, frankly, one of the best I've encountered on RU-vid, ever. The Langematik Perpetual certainly deserves a pause for gazing and admiration (especially the caseback), as do other Langes like the 1815 Chronograph, Datograph, Double/Triple Split, etc. Fantastic touch - please consider doing this for other well-finished watches as well. For those wondering about the music, it's Snack Time by David Scott. Thanks, Shazam. PS: If I may say so, this is a welcome break from the regular dive watch content (which, while excellent, is getting repetitive).
So does the zenith moon phase run on 28 day aside from the date indication or is it on the day ring? When you have to move it forward it would put the moon what 4 days out of sync in a year?
Exceptional new element in your storytelling. I just loved it. Great composition of music and visual impressions. Please provide more of it! Great job, thanks 🥳
