Great video, I have raceface Chester’s on my new to me used bike. They are more affordable, I looked them up, but I always compared pedals as metal versus plastic. Metal being “tougher” that is. That said, I don’t support amazon if I can avoid it!

honestly, I believe every composite pedal is a knockoff of Race Face Chesters even pedals by big brands like OneUp. I just bought a pair of Rock Bro's composite platform pedals and I'm installing them on my bike later today. I have a ridiculous amount of pedals including Race Face Chesters, Fooker, Fyxation, Chimona, PDX and now these Rock Bro's pedals. I just like changing it up with the color sometimes and with really decent pedals going for around $25.00 it doesn't break the bank.

An unknown knockoff has one big issue - you have no clue how well designed it is. I was a tester for a catalogue part component company and the taiwanese factory was proposing a fuckton of products on them that I was honestly scared to ride. Also when paying for durability you don't only pay for more time but for a lesser risk of catastrophic failure. Also that Trek pedal in 2024 is not mid range anymore. It's priced weird as it's a lower end pedal. You can get way better pedals in that price range, composit and alu. So you are making a weird review and comparison to make the cheap pedal look better. Hell there was a time where one could get Nuke Proof Horizon Sam Hill edition for 69$ and those are way better than those treks.

No name brand probably from China. Trek pedals, definitely from China... lol

Lol, that's true. Probably why they're so similar.
