My dad towed a dually that was decently stripped minus a 12v engine trans frame and suspension with a friends 03 chevy 2500 2wd 6.0 crew cab with our trailer while I followed in the second car we bought in the same sale but god when you go from 70mph in 5th with our 97 dodge 3500hd 12v 5 speed to a truck barely going 15 mph up hill im not sold on gas trucks to do anything but drive around look pretty in or go to lowes or home depot and get some plants.
@@kyboy5 ehh I do just about all my own maintenance on them I'm not afraid my dads truck is just now having issues after 211k miles when you consider the price of gas fuel injectors coil packs and spark plugs its all close
@@LarsonChase01 Prob wouldn't be I've seen half tonnes do lots of shit and before we got our cummins dually we pulled with 1500 chevy's and just recently pulled an old square body home from Kentucky with a chevy k1500 but these trucks are just not meant for this kind of work and the weight of our trailers doesn't help either as both are full tilts and the smallest one squats the 1500 and it did squat a 2500 duramax (lb7) I had but then again chevy leafs are weak as shit from what I have seen but one thing is for sure that duramax pulled like a mofo just weak leaf springs compared to ford and dodge.
Where was this guy before RU-vid! THIS, in my humble opinion, is representative of the best use of the internet. Godspeed, young man!(...and get an Agent.)
Keep Em' coming! No one else is making videos like this or with this quality. Has great info for anyone wanting to get into wheeling and dealing or just fixing. Good job Westen and you definitly got another sub!
I really dig what you're doing with your channel. The discussion of dollars and cents at the end is key because many, if not most, of your viewers are considering if they themselves can do it too and whether or not it's worth it. Also like that it isn't programmed with electro-pop crap music and fast-forward video through important details. Glad I signed on to your channel.
3:50 Amen brother. That first start is the scariest thing after doing major work, but when it starts and runs perfect, that feeling of accomplishment cannot be matched.
It should be no surprise that your channel is taking off. You have a no BS approach to how you purchase and repair vehicles while keeping a down to earth every man demeanor. Great channel. How about a little info on how you maket and sell the vehicles that you repair?
This is so relatable I just bought a 2010 F150 king ranch with a motor tick couldn’t beat the feeling when I fired it up with the new motor we put in it. Then had to drive from Texas to Arkansas. Like you vids man keep it up!
SUCCESS!! i do the same thing....buy a truck for parts and fix as many as possible with it. i rarely ever take anything to the scrap yard...i usually use it all! i like to see the project from start to finish....nothing more satisfying than to take it from broke to fixed and then using it! nice job westin!
Not sure if you’ve done it yet, but it would be cool to learn more about you and what you do. Is this your hobby or are you a dealer, etc. thanks for another great vid buddy!

I love the videos where you buy trucks and we get to see them come in and unloaded off the trailer. I love the videos where you diagnose and fix trucks. I also love the videos where you test drive the trucks that you fixed. I think I love all of your videos.
the content on this channel is awesome keep up the good work man the production value is awesome the fact you inform us about everything is awesome and not leaving any project in the dark just to add pointless filler content is amazing this channel its gonna blow up faster then a ford just being a ford !
*_”...we broke the Check Engine light!”_* 🤣👍👍 Awesome job; loved watching this series! Been with ya since you had a few hundred subscribers ❤️. Keep up the GREAT content!!! P.S. Thanks for buckling up; we need ya around.
It would be great if you guys did more on internal motor work, really completes the whole video, even if its chopped up quickly, like how you talk about completing the job and accomplishing that task, its just really nice to see what all was done. Great channel.
Hi Western,I live in Australia and the truck's you have are few and far between here and worth ridiculous amounts of money here I couldn't afford one that's for sure so I will just watch your channel and dream, love your videos mate, all the best form Australia
Like all the videos so far!! keep them coming, I can't believe how fast your channel is growing!! When you buy these trucks, do they have salvaged titles or clear titles? was just wondering how that works. Thanks for sharing
Glad you like my videos. 95% of the time their clear title. Even if there from insurance auction they send a lot of company trucks throu that there getting rid of and aren't wrecked but have mechanical issues.
great job n video silm, I'm from NJ n i wish I could do these things again but can't due to failed back surgery left me unable to work anymore, sucks,,, I don't get to go anywhere, or do anything but to see how happy it makes you makes me more happy in return for bless, PS you wouldn't have a 90s Ford f150 steering column with key,
I think you need to add in your time and knowledge. That's priceless. I'd buy that truck all day too, but, I dont have the engine swap experience, so, I'd must likely hire you to do it. I hope you sell that baby and make a great profit.
I stumbled on to your channel it was my lucky day love the vids and Westen you rock bud !!!! I watch all your vids i can find keep them coming your one funny dude
The reasons why your getting so many supporters is not the vehicle's it you. Your funny and a reall heavy handed old boy but even though you make mistakes and break things. It's all good not boring and your succesful. Over here in the UK it great to see a good old boy having fun. Les Osborn A Ford guy sorry haha
what helped with the load wasn't the springs it was the tongue weight. you only need a small portion on the tongue let the trailer carry the load that way your balanced
Thanks for the Video.... Wow that is some deal you put together.... New my 2015 2wdextended cab was a Kings Ransom. You sure come across some great deals. Less than 10K for that nice of a truck, Man that's a keeper.
"...we broke the Check Engine light!" I had a customer say that to me years ago, (1980's) and I replied "No, we just pulled out the bulb!" The look on his face was beyond priceless!!!
Very nice truck I’m glad it worked out for you I think your videos are awesome I wish you lived closer or vice versa that I lived closer to you keep on trucking. God bless
Great job on that truck! I sell trucks for a living and what you have into that truck and what you could sell it for.....wow👍 keep up the good work brother
Your different and that is a good thing. Big guys tend to be a bit pushy but I am to... 6'3" and 237 on a light day cause I gain weight thinking about losing it/LOL Good looking truck and I would buy it if in the market for one. I'm 70 now so my truck days are over. Got rid of my crew cab 95 powerstroke with 5 speed and custom bed. I sold/traded at a lose cause I can't turn my head (broken neck) but that is ok cause dirt nap ain't far away... I hope' Pain everyday and miss working so bad. People who don't work got it made cause they have the state take care of them from guys like us who work. I wish there had been RU-vid when I was even thirty years younger. Pulling wrenches and being out of work don't go together. You must live in an area that don't cater to rust much and that is a good thing. I know you have a fine shop truck and a good outlook on thigs so keep on keepin on
Just subscribed and I agree you've got the formula spot on - buy it cheap with issues, fix it, use it. The only thing that could be better would be if you guesstimated the market value when you've done, for those of us who live outside the US market. thanks !
Nice! Gassers will get it done. I have a 16’ LML with some work done to it. Towing through PA on RT 81 through Virginia/ West Virginia is where a gasser would be getting killed.
Hey man what auctions are you going to? I work up in your neck of the woods and live in Guthrie. Was about to buy a GMT800 in cash, but interested in this auction idea. I have a rebuilt LQ4 in my garage that’d be perfect for a blown motor truck 😀
@@johnh2349 Dang man, don't have a stroke. We just trying to do good for someone. You don't have to agree with all she does. I don't particularly care for her either.
Westen are you just putting these back into auction locally? Dad's been in the business for 40 years these videos bring me some great memories of when we use to pull 3 new purchases back with our F350 Centurion Powerstroke
Too bad I don't live close enough to you. I would love to do some partnering up and collaboration work as well! Hell, if you weren't so rich I wouldn't mind being the finance guy for that matter, but at least you're doing well enough to not need a business partner, even a silent partner for that matter! lol I enjoyed watching the progress on this project in any case. Keep up the good work man!
