9:15 so you say, only the material is not soo expensive? Then can you recommend a good 100" ALR material, which doesn't show this hotspot and very narrow fov? i have many frames already.. thanks

This is a cheap material and very narrow angle so you have to buy proper screens ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TFSo9TIMVTc.htmlsi=6A-X_r25vkPLbyf2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BD8bY7oh5_k.htmlsi=OHLKRYeNNb8Jk6Te ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k0cDMpVS2OA.htmlsi=cYNjmXrupeuCEcnZ. Love your videos! You just got a new subscriber! Jeez! You act so natural and not like you’re trying to sell yourself too much, especially like people do and they make the subscribe and like screen with a bell sound every 30 seconds! So annoying. Anyway, I have a question for you: I took the plunge and traded up my Epson 5050UB for the latest and greatest Epson LS11000. I picked the LS11000 as opposed to the brighter LS12000 due to a ridiculous cost less of $1K, wide availability unlike the LS12000 with features I wouldn’t even use. As an aside, it seems like the Epson projectors are made to fail right after they go out of warranty. Mine is only roughly 4.5 yrs old and it acts like it boots up properly and then just shuts off with error lights flashing. After some research people are discovering that it’s some tiny plastic gear that controls the iris and cinema filters. You may want to pass this along to your viewers about projector issues in future videos or something. Anyway, my original question is this, which no one seems to have responded to yet on other channels: I am torn between getting a high contrast screen or a gray screen one from Silver Ticket brand screens. I’m not sure if they are available in your area or not. If you’re not familiar with them, they make quality built and economical screens and they have tons of options for their screens, which are fixed frame - at least that is what multiple reviews and people’s videos have said. Is the difference between a gray screen and a high contrast one mean that high contrast is basically an ALR screen? I have a massive amount of uncontrolled ambient light through the big windows in my house. My ceilings are 18 feet high, which is too high for a novice like me to go up there and put solar powered window shades up, plus I’m scared I would fall, and I hate the look of an ultra short throw since it looks just like another TV to me. I’m nervous about getting a high contrast screen from Silver ticket since the new laser Epson LS11000 projector will be 100 less lumens at 2500 lumens compared to the 5050UB lamp based model which is 2600 lumens. I’m wondering if there will be a big sacrifice in brightness with a different kind of screen, something I cannot have. Btw as an aside, your furniture is very chic and the ceiling to curtain setup looks like the hotels I stay at all the time! You are to be commended about your secret screen installation in another video you posted. That looked hard to do! Thank you for explaining. I do wish you showed yourself actually putting it in though so we could see how it was done. It would be really cool to see a video from you showing how to install a fixed frame screen as well. Finally, a suggestion for you is to also mention the feet and inches along with your meters for your stateside friends! Thanks for the great content!

if you are goingto use same cheap alr screen if you project form below than you need to lay on the flor because angle is so narrow this screens only works with strait projection if you ask me . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-po60aU4Iifw.html video shows side lings dont effects this screen to much but if you are using regular whilte screen like me than you have to find a way to close those lights.

I have a question. I have an xgimi horizon 1080p projector and am thinking of getting an alr screen for it. Will it improve the picture quality? Ive been using a plain wall so far

it depends on your budget for ALR Screens because professional ones like ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZrW7GIu7NI8.html in this video series could give you great results if you use cheapest material ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-po60aU4Iifw.html in this video you get contrasted image in lit room but colors and angles will have lot of problems 😎

@@homecinematech thank you! can you tell me which cheaper material you are referring to? do you have a link?
Месяц назад
The answer is actually just plan YES. Any screen is waaaaay better than a wall. Beware of what kind of ALR screen you get by the way. I also have an ALR screen, but mine is for an Ultra Short Throw projector. The one that yuo put almost against the wall that projects up onto the screen. Those screens are different.
