It's more of retro only due to the carry handle, otherwise it's basically your standard ar 15 most people get, it's an older based look yea but not so much retro, retro imo would be like the polymer grip with no rails the screwed in foregrip and just an old school carry handle sight, this is basically modern with a carry handle, that's how I see it though
@@bunkeroregano9492who has an A Frame front sight on their AR anymore? Free float is obviously the better choice. Also why is the a frame so choked up on the barrel so that the hangars has to be so short? This rifle is HIDEOUS
@@kaiser7637 you can remove the adhesive residue with the same solvents you use to clean your barrel. There is no issue. The adhesive also doesn't take away from performance
@@gingie5246 idk I think slings are super handy for all kinds of stuff not just guns. It’s like a third hand, having a sling on my guitar, guns, tools, all slings are good slings
I saw on Amazon there’s a 50 pack of muzzle condoms lol that do the same thing and that’s about $10. They’re not as robust as these but should still work
As a force recon marine we would just slap a condom and rubber band over the muzzle. Works way better than a muzzle cover and it costs significantly less
I keep my guns in a 40% humidity environment and I bought a bunch of these and left them on in my safe. I use a goldenrod dehumidifier and one day k checked my guns and all of the muzzle devices had surface rust on them. The dehumidifier creates air movement and these things trap humidity, im sure they work fine for outside of a safe but heads up it very upsetting when I found them like that. Also thank you midway USA for my .40 round shipped 5.56 today
Does it effect first round accuracy being that loose? Electrical tape is proven to not effect accuracy when wrapped tight and it does a hell of a job at sealing the bore.
They really are. After a critical optic failure during a weekend training session, I decided to scrap optics all together (at least until I can get an ACOG lmao.) Now I'm rocking the detachable carry handle that shipped with the rifle. Sight picture is magnificent and everything is the perfect height. I can comfortably and rapidly hit a man sized target at 400m. Only time it sucks is low light environments
@kurtshirvinski836 my brother you can get tritium peeps that give you dots in your back sight ring of that carry handle. And a front sight post with tritium 😉 for in the dark. I believe trijicon makes them even
Or you could just be aware of where your gun is pointing at all times. Costs nothing. The only time i buried my barrel in the dirt was on a dove hunt when i was 9. Got so excited i threw my gun down in the dirt, and my brother gave me what for because of it. Never did it again. Even on a Ruck with some friends a few years ago, i fell down a hillside. Kept control of the rifle the whole time. Side of the gun was muddy, but the barrel never got buried.
@@bower31 if you’re concerned about water, put a condom over it. And that’s only for Saltwater. If you’re scared of lake, river, or stream water getting in your gun… you have a problem……… and it aint the water
I like to use a more latex material.. there’s a decent one that works 99.9% of the time, wrapped tightly in a little black and gold wrapper and they always come lubricated so it saves money on buying lubricants.
