Cheapest SG style guitar on Amazon and it's KILLER - Redid RG-22 Demo/Review  

Love the look of this guitar. The nice thing about two volume, Les Paul/sg style controls is that you can set the neck vol to barely on so that by using the selector switch you get 3 workable live volumes, full bore, rhythm, and quiet/clean.

I don't care what anyone says about Amazon guitars, they are pretty dope, I always love lesser known or unknown guitar brands 😎🔥😎🔥😎🔥😎

I just saw this on Amazon and couldn't believe it !! When I was looking around for a guitar I bought a Epiphone SG for $200. Cherry finish, good purchase,but if I had seen these on Amazon it might have been a different story, thanks for the post. ✌️

Its funny, I have a yellow firefly SG style and the action was the same. It is ridiculously low. I changed the strings and raised it and it's still low. I think it might be good to get used to because my bends were fretting the above or lower string and maybe getting used to that may help with my technique. I put $26 amazon Fleor humbuckers (which I love) in it. It didn't change the output, but the notes are less muddy. Great review!

I got one just like it but mine is red. I'm amazed at how good it is. I haven't done anything to mine except to tune it. Has a very slight buzz on the first fret on the high E but haven't messed with it yet. First new guitar I have bought that didn't need set up out of the box. I've had several Epiphones and Fenders and they all needed quite a bit of adjustment when new. Bought a Epiphone Wildcar, and it was almost unplayable until I worked on it for quite a awhile. Might get semi-hollow next.

I just wanted to add that I picked up one of these in the burst finish about a week ago from Amazon for $159 with a coupon. I was surprised how nice it was, finish, weight, sounded much better than I expected. Pickups are microphonic which aren't a deal breaker for me since I only use my instruments at low volume for recording. However, one thing that was almost a dealbreaker for me and I expect would be for others is that many of the inlays were not glued in properly and were proud of the fretboard. Doing string bends on the high E, some extent on the B on those frets would cause my finger to rub and hang up. I debated about sending it back but thought for the price, I thought I would give it a go to repair it myself since I've done a reasonable amount of repairs/upgrades. I superglued and clamped the ends of each offending inlay, scraped off excess glue, lightly cleaned up the fretboard with 0000 steel wool and applied finishing oil. Worked a charm. Strung it up with new strings and have yet to do a proper setup on it, but it plays really nice. Would I do this on a $1K to $2K GIbson? Heck no. Was wondering if anyone else experienced this. It's the one thing that made it less than Killer for me.

I like two volume two tone. I can roll back the tone on the bridge pickup without muddying my neck pickup. Can also roll the volume down on one pup and use the selector as a kill switch.

Seems like a nice guitar. I could forgive the mistake on the volume/tone pots for that price. I do like two volumes for SG/Les Paul style Guitars as I find it convenient to have a lower volume setting on the neck pickup for softer things, but not a deal breaker for sure.

There are a lot of things you can do on a guitar with 2 volume and 2 tone nobs. That being said, there is something beautiful about the simplicity of this one and others that do not have it.

Also, a strap lock on the horn helps reduce neck dive.

Saw this on Amazon recently, and wondered about the sound, and quality. Looks and sounds like a good bargain. I'm always looking for cheap guitars that are well built, and sound good.

I typed in redid and got Goto so they must be in league together almost bought a go to left-handed one but I found a different brand is a little more expensive but it turned out to be 90 and I love it

Re-branded Grote. I had the same one and it's a decent body for sure. PUPs were terrible but the QC was really good.

I got the semi hollow body they have in the same color. Really nice guitar plays great and holds tune very well for the price but I am going to throw some EMGs in mine.

Looks like Surf Green to me. Seafoam is less pastel, a deeper hue of blue-green. The fact that the guitar has lower-output, that is ‘vintage’ output pickups is a real turn-on for many guitarists. So many budget-priced axes are marketed to students who prefer high-output pickups to slam their Marshall Valvestate or Blackstar combos. I once bought a used Epiphone Firebird for cheap but sold it on quickly as I didn’t want to be stuck with an axe I had to spend more money on to make it sound like a vintage Gibson, i.e., with vintage-spec pickups. I’m tempted to get a Redid on your recommendation as it looks copacetic.

Automated guitar factories with CAD/CAM created and built using German technology. All factories use the same German tech now, so it doesn't matter which country your guitar was made in. Inexpensive guitars made using automated factories = perfectly made instruments, better then the expensive custom shop guitars in many cases.

Just ordered one

The body is not only hard in texture, but also very small in shrinkage. The guitar is not easy to deform. Texture is very beautiful and smooth surface, can show the guitar's grade and noble sense.

I love having two volumes. Because I can set the neck pickup to a lower volume so I can have a cleaner tone. Also sometimes I put the neck volume at zero, and the bridge at full, and use the toggle switch as a kill switch.

I have bought 4 guitars of amazon,200 dallor guitars and ALL 4 was setup almost perfect and almost perfectly in tuned so I love Amazon so so much,they do it right,EVERYTIME so far for me,I got the boss MK11,50w,on the way and a bunch of cosmetic stuff to dress up these guitars alittle and always 4 to 5 days and they come with a smile from ups not 1 time any damage,ups in my area is awsum and he nice to me,I told him to have lunch on me here's 20$ for lunch and I'll see you soon,people that 20$ will get me perfect delivery every time so think about,broken guitar or do a nice thing and buy ur cute ups worker lunch once in awhile,up to you,I'll do the lunch

We had a conversation regarding the Ali express guitars the thrill is gone for me. I think the guitar market is saturated and prices are going drop. A guitar show is coming up here in calif.
