Thanks for watching, i figured I would throw some rounds through it so you don’t have to try and see what happens. Not a bad shotgun for the money. Skip to the middle and on to see some shooting and final thoughts.

The key to these semi auto shottys is thst you need to get it broken in but you can do it by hand to save ammo. Leave the factory oils on it and dont lube at all til later. Rack the bolt hard as many times as possible, if you doit 1000 times its not too much. You want to put pressure in different directions on the bolt to wear each side. Then clean it all really good and oil it . Then lock the bolt back for awhile {months} to soften the spring and anytime u play with it around the house just keep racking that bolt hard and itll shoot lighter loads no problem. If not its junk😂😂

Many of the reviews I see reviewing clones of Combat Shotguns complain that they don't shoot bird shot reliably. The gas system / operating system of combat shotguns is designed for high recoil combat oriented ammunition. Not bird shot ! Most of these guns come with operating instructions that clearly state this fact, and yet I have been seeing the same complaint that they don't operate reliably with bird shot for years.
@RandoWayne
@RandoWayne 8 месяцев назад
I know that I may have complained about that some . I tested the ammo to show that is did t reliably work. I know ultimately though that it was designed for specific loads. People should definitely know that going into it.

@@RandoWayne Thank you for the reply, I did not mean to criticize you personalty , I was making an observation of the RU-vid gun content makers in general . I thought your video was well done, and I am glad you you pointed out all the practical uses and versatility of a 20inch barrel with choke tubes. I encourage you to drill and tap it for a red dot . I recently did this for a similar class CZ utility shotgun and then purchased a laser bore site from amazon for less than $ 20.00. I was able to print 2" groups with slugs at 50 yards and my shot patterns were bullseyes also, it really builds confidence when you know the gun is sighted accurately. Thank you for the work you put into the video, you are a credit to the American gun community .

Great, got one myself and fed 10 rounds of light loads only to have not cycle after each shot. Disassembled and reassembled 3 times. Still no cycling. BUT I also noticed, despite the forward grip being tight and everything cranked down, the forward grip slips forward roughly a quarter inch. Whats annoying is that you say I need to spend $115-$130 in just burning high end ammo to break it in? That kinda sucks.

Question, were you shooting the light loads/lower velocity loads with the light load piston? Would that fix your issue with it having trouble cycling the lighter and less velocity loads?

@zeromech1450
@zeromech1450 7 месяцев назад
I think you are being a little unfair with your "i wouldnt trust it with my life because that means it should cycle any shell i put in it." That doesnt make sense. Thats like saying a glock isnt reliable because it wont cycle .380. It wasnt designed for that. Judt like this shotgun is designed for hot loads. I also dont know why you would be defending your life with light loads.
@RandoWayne
@RandoWayne 7 месяцев назад
Trusting with your life does not only equate to self defense, it also includes the ability to harvest game. Using the comparison of completely different calibers and a gun not being to use does not make sense as a 12g 3 inch shotgun should if one is to fully rely on in for defense or hunting be able to fire any 3 inch 12g load put in it. Side note from a few feet away I wouldn’t want hit with light or heavy rounds.
@zeromech1450
@zeromech1450 7 месяцев назад
@@RandoWayne my point even still stands. That's like saying a Glock is unreliable because the light load you reloaded didn't work. There are reliable guns out there that don't shoot all of what that caliber has to offer. I mean no disrespect. Just sharing my opinion.
@RandoWayne
@RandoWayne 7 месяцев назад
I didn’t take it as disrespect, I am just offering an opinion. I have a few semi automatic shotguns that legitimately will cycle anything. To me those are what I would consider trusting my life with. You’re right though some guns just aren’t meant to work with certain rounds or loads.

I just bought one yesterday. For break in, I am looking to use 2 3/4 inch. 1oz. rifled slugs 1550-1650 fps. For this ammo, should I keep the Light Load piston in it, or should I switch to the Heavy load piston for the break-in?
@RandoWayne

To be honest I used the light piston for the whole break in. If you have any failure switch it up but the light worked for everything for me

@@RandoWayne Tried to shoot with the heavy piston with those 2 3/4 inch high velocity slugs and it would not cycle. Switched to the light piston and ran thru 20 slugs flawlessly. The average mean self-defense encounter occurs at 7+/- yards so patterning your buckshot at 25 yards with the cylinder choke is beyond the pale. The pattern entropy at that range is beyond undesirable. I'd start with Improved Cylinder at the very least and work your way up the choke constrictions, but at 25 yards it's a poor pattern and for good reason. You're doing a disservice to this weapon or any shotgun. 😉
@RandoWayne
@RandoWayne 8 месяцев назад
You’re right that at 25 yards and cylinder bore the pattern won’t be good at all. I was just shooting it to show, in no way was it real world scenario. As you said self defense is close contact and will definitely pattern well with cylinder bore at 7 yards. Showing that a shotgun isn’t meant for certain ranges as some defense shotguns are strictly cylinder bore without the option of chokes puts in perspective how they are meant to be used. I did no disservice to this shotgun, I showed how it can be used and not used, along with what ammo works and does not. 😉
