I live very close to this place in Behala, and today I went to check out some of the prices. I think the prices mentioned in this video is actually half of what these sellers actually charge. 1kg of vermicompost they're charging Rs 30, but in this video he mentioned Rs 15/kg. One small packet of potash is Rs 20 and urea Rs 10. In this video he mentioned Rs 5 only. Maybe this video is to lure some customers towards this market, and eventually some of those customers will also end up buying something, even though the prices are not that low. So I think this video is having some kind of arrangements with these shop owners..
@@gauravbiswas26 I live closeby to this place & trust me even 1 year back at the time of this video (before / after) they never gave stuff this cheap. Probably 3-5 years back, one would have got at the mentioned price.
Feel like flying there and collecting a huge terracotta beautiful pottery, plants and pesticides. Gardening equipments, fertilizers and plants are very very costly vin Delhi NCR. We can't think of these prices told by you . Thanks for sharing such a nice information.

Those nurseries are the closest one from my house and I buy plants and fertilizer from there. But the shop owners usually charge far more than the price they are telling during the video. Almost double for most the plants. 😣
@@sumedhahalder159 For any types of fertilizers the 1st shop is best and cheap. >For plants, 1st shop has less variety of plants compared to the 2nd one. Though 2nd shop is costly for plants. >There are 2 more shops there. It would be better to compare price of the plants before buying.
These 3-4 street side plant stalls works as extended counter of Pratim Nursery. Only thing is price multiplication. It is better to purchase direct from Pratima Nursery.
I live here in kerala...the rate for spraying bottle is rs50 here also & that nozzle cost 30..but that nozzle doesnt work properly..the spring inside will easily go..
I'm shocked! These are ridiculously low priced and really good healthy plants 👍, I had to pay minimum of 250rs for a regular single plant in South Gujarat.
Location wise rate vary. West Bengal produce huge quantity of flowers and fruit plants. So here it's cheap but for Gujarat they need to import from other states so but expensive.
I have tried buying through Nurserylive and Plantsguru. I have been duped. I am kinda jealous that you can find different kinds of garden plants for cheap in Kolkata. I admit that once I start gardening I get carried away to have new different other kinds of plants in my garden. Even if they bloom for a day, there is something more than attraction to these lovely plants. I cannot travel so far for the plants. What alternatives do you suggest to buy from Kolkata nurseries since they don't deliver outside the state or city? I don't find them here. Please do share more about cross pollination and getting new generation flowers. How can vinca be pollinated? How can we grow hibiscus and rose from seeds?
@@nikhilsinha6727 Well, I am not a scientist. And I don't know much dept of plant hormones. The method I can use is growing from seeds. There is a fine method to grow from seeds. I suppose there are instructions to grow hibiscus from seeds by giving them the right environment. That's what I need to know from Sir.

Nice Video sir. General Public Information....The lavender plant shown is Dusty Miller not Lavender Herb plants. these nursery owners donot know the difference.
@@kamaldeb9404 LAVENDER is not easy to grow. You can purchase seeds online, lavender from seeds is not only time consuming because they are slow growers but also germination rate is about 5%. if you do however want to grow lavender from seeds you will need to first cold stratify the seeds for about 4 weeks and then plant them in well draining potting soil. also take care as to not bury the seeds as they don't like to be heavily covered with potting mix. once germination begins leave them in the same seedling tray till plant is mature and can handle transplant shock. i m not sure if lavender can grow well in India.

If I would have earthen pots in my garden!!!!... in Lonavala, we hardly find earthen pots, most of the pots are made of either cement or plastic ... to get earthen pots, we will have to go all the way to Pune :( ... too far !!!

this video is extremely misleading n completely fake. I've been here and the prices are not at all cheap. no plant is below 200/- and the quality is also really bad n dirty! the sellers have zero idea about the name n types of plants they are selling n give all sorts of wrong info about the caring of the plants. i still bought 14 plants from here because I was doing a quick renovation and when I started to repot them at home, to my absolute horror, the potting soil was infested with ants. the plants are really weak and appear to be half dead by the time you are able to bring them home. basically, if they see u r travelling there by your car....they'll immediately hike the prices to their fancy! horrible place!
The place is near to my home, but I am unable to find any succulents over there. Can you suggest any good place in and around behala, where I can find a good variety and at a reasonable price? Regards
