Link to items used below! That will last you 2 decks if you're smart.
This is the cheapest way for people without tools at home to carbon fiber a deck for stiffness, or weatherproofing. Message us @blueridgeproject on instagram if you need advice.
!!! Important things to note !!!
Do some test runs because your first attempt will be a mess. Epoxy is some sticky messy stuff (only need 100 ml). I would definitely recommend gloves as well. If you go the dremel route to cut the carbon fiber wear gloves and a respirator, and long sleeves and pants. A slow band saw is the ideal way to trim carbon fiber.
You can do two layers of carbon fiber at once, just smack dab on top of each other, it's easiest that way I've found. 1 layer (top and bottom) will make a flexy deck firm, just a bit of snap to it, 2 layers top and bottom will create a BRICK of a board. I like 2 on bottom 1 on top if you want something stiff. Adding composite to the layers on the bottom of a composite sandwich adds the most rigidity to a system, less so on top.
REALLY squeegee out extra epoxy as much as possible!

Vacuum Bags (for vacuum and release film, might need to use diagonally with long decks)

Buy the fleece for a breather fabric (or something breathable, relatively smooth, preferrably won't bunch, since it transfers it's texture to the deck) at a craft store for cheap.
