Additional tipp - effectively all "find the exit" rooms have a shortcut, depending on their layout, that allows you to basically skip the whole thing in a couple dashes. In the first one he shows at around 27 minutes, you can just head south and hop over the wall, then left and you'll be at the exit.

How many guards do we have to kill to get the exit to open? I get to the exits and it's closed. And I have to go find mobs to kill to get it to open? Which ones need killed? Or what %?

@@chrisklooz9538 Rooms that say "Find the Exit" only require you to get to the exit for it to appear and allow you to leave. Rooms that say Kill the Guards require you to kill all the Guard (uniques) in the room

With a video this large, there's bound to be mistakes, so I'm gonna list any I/you guys find here. Also what's everyone's best Sanctified Relic they're running? 01:17 - Around here I say that Boss mobs are the only ones that hit your Life/ES as well as Resolve/Inspiration. This is incorrect - all mobs hit Resolve/Inspiration as well as your Life/ES. Thanks ThePigKnight for the note. 01:37 - It appears GGG has silently fixed the ability to go over 1000 Inspiration and, presumably, Resolve.

In order to complete Lycia P3 successfully don't panic. To not panic realize that it's okay to take as many hits as your healthbar can handle because the circles will not consume inspiration or resolve. He did lose inspiration in this video but a frame by frame shows that was the 3 firebolts shotgunning him so that's the one to really look out for. The rest of it his HP is getting mauled but no inspiration damage in P3. Also useful to know the new Floor 3 Infernum layout is actually braindead easy unlike the near impossible old version so don't take a bad affliction to dodge it.

Thanks, his was very helpful. Most other guides on sanctum just say "get lots of DPS and delete the bosses" which is a little less feasible in ssf, where I'm trying to farm sanctum for the divines.

Phenomenal video. Am about to try and get that mirror ring with my Shockwave Totems.. was wondering if you can skip the Infernum and Desecrated Crypts.. I mean I can do it touchless but those rooms are too much without a single mistake.. also third floor boss is sometimes a bit tricky to dps it down.. but man this feels like the closest to 1 mirror I have ever felt before lol

If you haven't checked out my other video on the Sanctum, it might be worthwhile - I talk through the strategy of room picking. You can theoretically avoid certain types of rooms and the more room options you give yourself, the higher the odds you can avoid specific ones. Let me know if there's anything else I can answer to help on your run. I'm trying to get my next video out today or tomorrow, as fast as I can, which dives deeper into Guards, Monsters, and rooms.

for the infernum room: pick a direction and keep moving around the room in a circle. you don't have to be quick (unless you have the monster action speed affliction, which you should avoid). the skull beams track you very slowly. the problems only start when you change directions. just move in a circle and focus on the guards. you can ignore the beams. the desecrated crypt is a little more annoying. my strategy is to time the beam so it starts in one corner and then walk across the room. the beam stops before you get trapped in the other corner. but you could also just ignore the beam and just keep moving. it feels to me that the damage ramps up slowly. so in the first half second, the beam does almost no damage. it only gets bad if you stay in it.

I do at the moment, yeah. If I'm using a challenge relic, I'm typically taking out % chance for double coins in favor of Gain Inspiration on Gaining an Affliction, though. But it depends on the challenge relic.

There's an argument to be made that the exact damage numbers are largely overshadowed by the ability to avoid damage entirely. I'll see if the damage numbers make sense to pursue from a personal time stand point and video length standpoint. Thanks for the thought, I'll keep it in mind.

I really should have planned ahead for the league mechanics because it's rare for me to find them as engaging as Sanctum is, but at the same time I am having a super hard time making a spell totem build work with my passive tree choices. Probably going to start over.

I haven't seen anyone else comment this and you seem to have most issue with the skull beams so here's a tip: The beams move MUCH slower when close to you and MUCH faster when far from you. So if you already have distance from a beam, don't panic and run even further, that will result in the beam tracking even faster and you running out of room to run faster. Instead, let the beam get close to you and move with the beam. Hope this helps.

I see CWDT proc in Sanctums all the time, regular guard rooms. I only assume that means they are hitting your actual health/es/whatever and not just the Inspiration/Resolve, unless those two "health bars" can trigger CWDT.

Great video but hoping we can make the final boss fight/skip option more clear. If you choose to fight phase 3 Lycia and fail, do you miss out on your floor completion bonuses from beating phase 2? Is phase 3 also a resolve fight or a regular boss?

Yes you do fail if you die to her. And Lycia does pure HP/ES damage, totally ignoring resolve and inspiration. Thanks for the note, I'll be sure to keep that in mind for another video I have in mind

Correct. You can either skip phase 3 and take your rewards from finishing the sanctum, or risk fighting phase 3 in order to get her unique drops and an additional relic drop and, now, a challenge relic

I noticed that on obsidian guard " the one that slam's and teleport" if u are on hes melee range after some attack patterns he will just take a second or two to charge up an " auto-attack?" which has no visual effect and can be easily dodged by going on hes arse. On second boss floor the two giants. It can be very easy or hard depending how u deal with them. My strategy is to kill them at the same time thus no special effect happens unless i have too high dps and i dont notice if 1 dies the other one heals i usually kill them together as i play RF. Lycia.. Boi oh boi. That phase 1 can be a nightmare if u have low dps. " For room lvl 83" if u got below 1m overall dps on ur build i'd suggest just to run with her and on phase 2 deal with her there. If u have around 1.5m dps u can pretty much force her to move and clear the arena before she actually start to do all the messy attack patterns. Lower lvl rooms u can facetank her before the blood floor catch up with u and force her to move out of the way. A general rule of thumb that i use. If the rewards are too good " divines yada yada" just dont risk p3 especially if u are new to her fight. If u have low defence or ehp u can die pretty easy from one minor mistake on p3. Just take the rewards tell her that u love her and move to next sanctum run :D If the rewards are crappy "some chaos/chissel yada yada" u don't really care about those u can just attempt her fight and learn the patterns. At lvl 82 when i used it to learn the patterns pretty much i could facetank all abilities besides the beam and slam the spinning traps barely did any dmg and my gear is not that amazing on my rf jugg. I'd say my gear is like 10 chaos worth and mostly handcrafted with 4.6k hp.

Heyo, loved the video! I’d like to point out that the crimson archmage also has a flame dash ability which also affects the hp… if u have afflictions like monster has increased attack/cast speed + monster deals more dmg, that flame dash instantly kills you Edit: I may have mistaken which guard it was who flame dashes… I will be back when i find out

@@Eliteish take what I said so far with a grain of salt, I’m going to do some further testing when I get back from work. I believe it could be the Templar marksman as his abilities are similar to the Ashen Woods map boss (who also flame dashes), but other than that merry Christmas!

I'm running sanctum just to get some challenges... I'm about to finish pious pacts, and I thought about doing definitive deviation, but in my runs up till now I only got 2 out of the 17 boons/afflictions needed... is there a way to speed that or is it that hard to get?

Ive died from actual guards in the kill the guards rooms twice. First time from the fire one that summons clones and walks towards you and second time i dont know what guard killed me both times i had resolve and/or inspiration still left on bar. Other than those two times ive taken damage on occation to my healthbar a couple times, no idea what dmg tho.

Not sure if I missed it or if it was not explained but at start of video you talk about inspiration and resolve. There is times I take resolve damage and zero inspiration damage. What is bypassing inspiration?

What does the red smoke do in Lycia Phase 1? Problem I have is she'll close the first arena with red smoke, move into the middle area and cast her red lightning skill, and then there is nowhere to hide from it because the first area is already covered in red smoke

It appears to do about 60 resolve (or inspiration) damage per second and a similar'ish amount to hp. It's hard to tell exactly how much damage it's doing to my health as I don't know for sure what damage type it is. Looking back at my recordings, she tends to rush at you as her first move, so if you can circle around her to keep her in that right-side in the initial area she's in, the fog should move forward and you'll have the next wall to move around. It's unfortunately a bit of a DPS check here, so if a build is lacking that, it'll be tricky to totally avoid damage from her in phase 1.

So how do u make the red mist disappear on the Lythia phase 1?? I've completed quite a few Sanctums on whites and yellows. On T16 when I phase her at the beginning of the stage the red mist doesn't disappear. I waited and nothing, so moved forward and I basically keep moving until I fail. This happened the last 3 times and I can't figure out why. Every other time I ran through and everything was clear

@@Eliteish Dam for reals. I stood in front that little doorway for 5 or 6 seconds so I assumed she was dead because she disappeared. I do enough damage to take out Guardians in a couple seconds and 1 shot T16 map bosses. Also is it normal for the mist to go through 400 inspiration and 300 resovle in like 2 seconds?? I remember on the low maps the the mist barely took off any resolve or the boulder.

Dudd! You're literally the only guy on youtube who explained that red smoke\fog moves forward , When I encountered her 1st , I had no idea what is going on on the screen and why the hell my resolve is getting damaged by some dot effect. That's because I'm using graphic mod that disables most of the effects. Thank you for the guide! Other popular so called "poe streamers" are dogshit. Why they can't explain such basic thing LUL?

From what I have read and experienced all monsters deal damage to your actual life but this damage is usually negligible and all you notice is your lost inspiration/resolve though now and then you can get shotgunned from something like infernal sentinels fire arrow volley and then you can notice how your life bar fluctuates. Edit: Should've read all comments before writing this...

Does sanctun scall with map levels ? Because in my runs the guarfs are way more faster even with no affliction

Each floor of the Sanctum corresponds to the map level that generated it. Then, for Lycia, your average overall map level is taken and if that's above 81 (T14) you'll get the option to fight her true form (phase 3 in my cheats guide video). So each room on a floor can scale enemy HP and damage differently. I don't THINK action speed scales differently based on map level. It's possible, but it would be very surprising if that were the case.

If you don't plan on fighting Lycia, I've found no evidence that you're punished for doing lower level Sanctums.

idk if this is intended..but i got the major boon all seeing eye.. and all the smoke afflictions were pretty much useless.. as i can see the rewards, afflictions and room type... :D

Im on floor 3 of an original sin run. My biggest fear is lycias first phase frontal lightning since she always clips me with it!

That certainly may be one of the trickiest things to deal with. I'm doing my final raw video collection in my current run and should have a solid collection of how to deal with her initial stack there. I don't know if it'll be out by the time it will help you (tomorrow, I hope)

I always die instantly in the second she says begon. Ive no idea what it it, ive got a decent build, killed maven for the first time with this build. No matter how many tries, i've always die at the begining of phase 3 .

Is it actually confirmed that bosses can bypass inspiration? I usually end my runs with capped inspiration and low resolve and it's never been a problem

So far as I've been able to find, nothing bypasses Inspiration. Everything hits Inspiration first as well as your actual HP/ES pool. When you run out of Inspiration, it of course hits your Resolve and HP/ES
