Cheb Khaled, whose full name is Khaled Hadj Ibrahim, is an Algerian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is considered one of the most popular and influential figures in the development of Algerian and North African music, particularly rai music.
Khaled was born on February 29, 1960 in Oran, Algeria, and began singing and playing music at a young age. He released his first album, "Trig El Liciene," in 1985, and quickly gained popularity throughout Algeria and other parts of North Africa. Khaled's music often combines traditional Algerian and North African rhythms and instruments with more modern pop and dance elements, creating a unique and infectious sound.
