Great stream!...Thanks Pompsie (and Greta), kind of like a walk down memory lane. To me, A.C. as a child, the greatest place on earth from 1965 until Resorts opened in 1974 (est). Steel Pier had indoor rides, fun houses, a diving bell, a batting cage, water show (with diving horse) as end of the pier, headliner shows, like Franki Valli, movies, a youth entertainment show - ahh the memories....was like $5 admission spend whole day. Sad, it use to be a world class venue.
nobody says JOISEY and it's annoying to most locals. That said, we're happy you're here enjoying yourself and hope you hit white house subs. Don't wander off the boardwalk too far. Have a great time!!
Wow man! My girl and I will be there tomorrow lol we’re coming from Baltimore, MD. It would be funny if we run into you, I just showed this to my girl because she wanted to see how busy AC was lol this was perfect man! Thank you!!
Pompsie, at 39:40 you passed The Botanist, it is a legal dispensary. Sopranos filmed one of Tony’s dream sequences in Asbury Park, I don’t think they really filmed much in AC. The Wyndham is a time share and you can find people reselling them on eBay, it’s a really nice place. You will find weekends in the summer to be very busy and Saturday night rates are very high. I love AC and I think a great majority of folks who visit would return. Most of the negative comments are from those who have never set foot on the island. When you come back, make sure to hit Bally’s Beach Bar, Bungalow Beach Bar, the Hard Rock Beach Bar and finally, The Deck at Golden Nugget. The seagulls are bad because stupid people feed them.
I used to live in Atlantic City right on the boardwalk at work at Bally's Casino Legends of concert show doing The Blues Brothers enjoy your videos immensely you're great man. I live in Las Vegas now course you do to hope to meet you sometime you're cool too
I. USE. TO. LOVE. BALLYS. AND SANDS. I COULD ALWAYS. HIT IN. THERE. WHY. DID THEY CLOSE SANDS. AND WHAT DID THEY PUT THERE ?. LASTTIME. I WAS AT A.C. IT. LOOKED. LIKE GHOST TOWN. AND THAT WAS YEARS AND YEARS AGO.
Used to Vacay in LV 2X a year for a dozen years but I'm done. AC ain't LV but it'll do. I can drive to AC in 3hrs flat in my own comfort instead of the all day travel ordeal flying out to Vegas and again coming back. I've stayed in AC several days midweek many many times. My Fav place was the Showboat but that was shut down years ago. The Tropicana is fun but I usually stay at Harrah's bayside. Lately I'm liking the Golden Nugget more though.
I know this video is old,but just got a chance to watch it. Been to Atlantic city 50 times plus. I used to live in Delaware so it was only 80 miles away, but back in Pittsburgh now where I grew up, so continue to fly there about once a month for many years, always stay at Caesars! Was there last in feb. to sprinkle my moms ashes in the ocean! Loved the video Pompsie n Greta !!
Hi, just finished watching your video!! Loved it so much!! I miss my vacations for the past year and a half because of the pandemic. Hopefully I will go on vacation there in September. I lost all my comps from the hotels I was getting there, but the Tropicana has offered 2 free nights. Well, it's a start!! Looking forward to more of your videos, thanks so much!!!
Thank you for the stroll down the Boardwalk. I used to work at the Taj Mahal before moving to Indiana. I miss the Boardwalk. Enjoy your trip, safe travels.
I’ve been to the ocean last year for my bday very beautiful place to visit... been to Caesar’s, hard rock, ocean , showboat for 4 birthdays in a row these last few years now I’m taking hubby to showboat hotel and surprising him with a balcony suite for his birthday in August for 7 days on the 24 th floor with an ocean view... I’m soooo excited to surprise him ❤️❤️❤️❤️ FYI the ocean hotel is furthest from the rest of the other hotels it’s kind of a long walk from the little stores on the boardwalk AND last time I went it didn’t a casino it was just a hotel but we aren’t gamblers anyway
I thought that might be you thanks for checking out the EAST side of America needs some help too will probably never be Vegas but can be SO much better than it is currently
I was at the Oceans Sunday to Wednesday yes that place is nice can’t wait to meet you bro keep up the good work AC not Vegas but it still has potentials stay safe
I used to go to AC a couple of times a year been going to Vegas the past 15 due to good prices but everytime I have gone there the past 3 years I have ended up paying more than I have anticipated due to rooms not being ready etc I started out in AC and maybe I need to give it another chance Vegas is getting so ghetto
@@dontneednomanstoptelllingm8481 I lived in New York before coming here, the moment I stepped foot in atlantic city I wanted to run away it was like the suburbs compared to new york city I was so used to seeing a bunch of people and the building etc & AC is so small the opposite of nyc.. I was a kid at the time and I couldn't do anything about moving back. Just like every where else in the world we have violence but the crime rate is not really as bad as other places. I can't lie at one point atlantic city was a pretty fun place to be but now it's a shit hole I wouldn't recommend anyone to move here unless they are at the point in their lives where they just want to work at a casino and go home . Theirs really not much to do in the winter especially, especially for the kids. Basically AC is only good to visit in the summer if you like the in beach boardwalk and casino. Period I am turning 30 this year I have 4 children and I want to definitely get my kids out of here and move to Florida lol.
I live in Atlantic city and sometimes on the board walk it self and the place is a total depressant. Everyday here is the sadness equivalent to someone very special to you breaking your heart with no explanation given. It's that kinda of sadness being in this God 4 saken city.
@pompsie sorry if we took up too much time but we road down just meet you guys. I write our names in the sand every trip so I thought it would be cute if Greta did it. I knew the view from that point on the beach would look great for video and it was. Glad we hot to meet you both!
* Hi Pompsie and Greta..., * "You belong in Las Vegas ! !" "Thank you for sharing video of Atlantic City ! !" Although.., nice break from Las Vegas.. Atlantic City is (NOT) Las Vegas.. Hope to see you soon in Las Vegas.. Your friend always.., Mike O'Brien in historic Uptown Butte, Montana.. * P.S.: Have a beautiful weekend and a wonderful week ahead, too.. Mike :)
It used to be cheap as hell to get to AC from Cleveland buses ran 3 days a week spend 10 hours there then take you back for like 25 dollars plus a Casino bonus back in the 80s and 90s spent many weekends there that I would have spent bored in Cleveland since all the casinos have opened around here all that ended now you need to fly or take a lousy Greyhound at much more money and inconvenience
This is not really expensive. Other beaches like spring lake, ocean grove, Avon by the sea, that's really expensive. Out of all the beaches in south jersey atlantic city and wildwood are the most affordable.
People do fly into Atlantic City. There is a heliport at Golden Nugget and a heliport at Hard Rock Casino which was originally Trump Taj Mahal both of those casinos have a heliport that high rollers used to fly into the City and people come into Atlantic City International Airport which is located in Pomona New Jersey
Also next to where you're staying at Tropicana is called The Ritz the Ritz used to be a hotel but is now a condominiums and that is where they used to host the Miss Black America before they allowed black women into the Miss America pageant
Possession of six ounces or less of marijuana - and using it on private property - is now decriminalized in New Jersey for people ages 21 and up. That means you can't be criminally charged for it.Mar 5, 2021
@@pattiann8772 you are spot on, the Playboy Casino which became the Atlantis then Trump World’s Fair was located next to Boardwalk Hall but demolished years ago. At around 3:35 of the video, this is where Playboy was located, there are some new, but empty stores and one arcade there now.
