For anyone who hasn't heard of it, Horizon's gate is one of the all time greats and rad codex is a phenomenal developper who hasn't put out a single bad game
Glad you're checking this out mort. I have been a fan of their games since 2017, and keep trying to tell people about it. They aren't the prettiest game but pretty brilliant tactical RPG with fun class combinations.
Oh shoot, that's how you open the door! I've been using grappling skills to make rock bridges, but couldn't get into that one door by the tower. Hot damn the exploration in this game is satisfying.
To be honest most games that lean that hard into the old school looks do often turn me off. I was around during those days lol. But this has a ton of charm and well use of customization. I do love tactics. Probably have to check it
I've been gaming since my friend's dad brought home a computer that had orange text on a black background. Maybe it's just because my eyes are old, but this is a little too retro for me.
Oooooh. More eyes on Rad Codex games!!! Horizon's Gate is my comfort turn based tactics game. Highly excited for this one! And wanna echo a recommend for Voidspire Tactics + Horizon's Gate to others.
Voidspire and Horizon's Gate were pretty good (Alvora was lacking). I'm glad to see Rad sticks to his formula, but I hope for a better balance between classes.
Thanks for the spotlight on this, have had in on my wishlist although it kinda slipped my mind given that there seems to be a new indie game I'm interested in coming out every other day for the last few weeks. Will see how this does at launch and might grab it afterwards.
@@MortismalGamingI don't think this title falls in the "everything" category exactly. It's a one of a kind single man made game that embodies every element of classical RPGS we enjoy and more... if titles like this don't deserve endorsement then what do.
