The episode you have all been waiting for. We go behind the scenes and play every single hole at Spud Run Golf. You'll see every shot as I set a new course record. Contact me: spudrungolf@gmail.com
Just played Spud Run Golf yesterday with my sons. An unforgettable golf experience! Loved the Hack Shack par 3, but the spectacular 9th was my favorite. Hope to get back sometime. Thanks so much for hosting us, you should be proud of all you have created at Cairn Creek!
Love your setup sir, this is a classic case of you can see the passion on the product. I bet coming home and playing 9 before some maintenance work is a real refresher
I love the videos, this is a phenomenal take of how it's all done. Beautiful perspective here, and way to go low. I look forward to every upload, truly entertaining and genuinely fun to watch. Respect from a Midwest fella here, keep being you sir! Come on^! Cheers!
I love this. I always dreamed of being able to do something very similar, but I wanted to have a green on each end of the fairway so that you could just go back and forth rather than having to walk/ride back out to each tee. The other thing I thought I'd want to do is have 3 holes/flags per green and color code them to the tee boxes, so that you could have more variety on the greens as well. Good luck, looks like tons of fun!
Just saw this course on birdogey channel and it’s literally 45 minutes from my house. Man this is really inspiring I’m definitely going to have to come play if I get the chance!
Great video taking us through the course (scary vid w/the DOG). The only place we haven’t seen you hit from at this point is on top of the mill shop. Hmmmmmmmm……..
There is no way you would let me attempt DOG, but it was cool seeing you do it. It was great to play a couple holes last week. Looking forward to playing again.- Jim
C’mon!! Great video great score. Is that the officially nonofficial official course record? Love seeing the pride and enjoyment and all the hard work you put into spud run!!
Great video, just a thought how about adding a front, middle and back pin and playing a different pin for the different hole. Will save the green some and mix up the putting.
Great place you got!!! Hope i can play there someday!!! A little input from me, maybe 3 different holes with each different color to spice up the green? 😊
Ever thought about having three (3) different flag placements for a 9 hole round? Move the flag after each hole with local rule treating the holes not active as immovable obstructions.
That was fun mate! Q. Why don’t you build a green on the bottom, near the house? That way you can play the course up & down, and you don’t have to drive long distances back to each tee. Furthermore, I bet you can use some tees to go the other way too.
What an amazing place, you’ve created! This is my first time seeing your channel, and I just started the video, but I’m curious if you have, or plan to have maybe a local charity event, or something along those lines?
Just stumbled across your channel. I love how you put your time to set up the tripods and decribe the holes, hole by hole. I would really love to drive out there from chicago with some friends! How can I get in contact?
You should be really happy how well that green has come out. It looks great. Now as a golfer of 30 years that driver off the green had me really cringing. I'm yelling in my head "what the #$@^ are you doing?" But.. it's your hole. Good watch man.
There is a RU-vid video of Tiger (with Jordan Spieth?) stating that he didn't need to take a divot when he was hitting it flush.... You have just demonstrated pretty much that from the green. The first 2 were being frightened, the next 2 were adjusting, and the final was you getting it in good. What a great course, risks, rewards, and from what I've seen just here, some wicked, challenging greens, which defeated you, sometimes. Always a challenge, what you would want from a golf course. Just @GoodGood - Maybe you should invite them to have a go.....
Interesting but half of the holes are basically the same hole #1 in shorter version so a second green and the ability to play back and forth would vary the game a bit, and maybe add two flags per hole. Then the 9 hole round would be more dynamic, but that's my humble opionon
How many acre does the 9 holes sit on ? My wife and I just bought 74 acre and this is something I thought of but thought it was too crazy of an idea. You're making it look doable.
First time I have ever came across your channel! I’m guessing this is your golf course? Maybe on your property? But you could build a couple more “hack shacks” on your course and close them off half way and get some AC in those baby’s and have a golf destination where golfers come and stay the night and play the course
I want to know where your first bunker shot went. At 9:55 the spot under your ball wasn’t raked then all of a sudden at 9:57 the ball was moved and the sand was raked under it. Lol. Love your course though! Keep it up!
Fantastic Mr. spud! Just stumbled across your channel and subscribed. I’m an avid golfer and have often dreamed of having a few hole course in my backyard. Your creation is absolutely awesome. I was a maintenance worker at at the TPC course in Snoqualmie Washington where the champions tour has played the Boeing Classic for 20 years or so. The players consistently voted our course best condition and best greens on their tour. It was hysterical watching you fire up all the various mowers! I see the course is around cairn (stone) creek - what state are you in? What a spread to have endless good times with buddies! I tip my hat and salute you! Also, retry damn good swing! Driver off the concrete🤣! Excellent narration too buddy! God Bless!
@@SpudRunGolf thanks for your gracious reply Mr. Spud golf! I know the amount of work required to keep up your course. Do you have a day job also? How many acres do you have? One day, I WILL tee it up at SpudRun! All the best to you and your family!
Great video taking us through the course (scary vid w/the DOG). The only place we haven’t seen you hit from at this point is on top of the mill shop. Hmmmmmmmm……..
