Which coop do you think is built better…Omlet of the Nestera? We have the Omlet Cube and were looking for a second coop. Appreciate your videos. 🙏🏻

Nestera coops are SO much more durable and have a 25 year guarantee! I've used both and would never go back to Omlet now. These are also made with completely recycled plastic and Omlet's are first-time plastic. Can't recommend my Nestera enough!

I do think Omlet also gives a 20-25 year warranty. I haven't tried the cube on wheels yet. The runs, I would say Nesteras are stronger. But the door opening of Nestera is too small. The coop. Myeah, kinda have the feeling Nesteras are bigger. They are both easy to clean. I don't have red bird mites in both, I do have them in the wooden coops. So I think it's more an aesthetic thing/choice. Both could use some improvements though. Customer service of Omlet is very good.

What is with cold Winters (-20C° are possible in germany) and huge Chickens like Barama eg?

My 3 biggest Anconas sleep in here with no problems. And there are 2 laying boxes and room for maybe 3 more Anconas. The runs needs to be bigger than. If you close the door it´s gonna be more isolated. But chickens can handle the cold quite well.

Ik vraag me altijd af bij dit hok, zit je niet met kieren tussen de platen waar ze samen komen en er zo dus wind door komt? Zetten die platen uit door warmte waardoor ze bol komen te staan?

My Male gold pheasants was extremely territorial and killed all the other male pheasants if other breeds. I didn't have any male chickens so i don't know if he would have killed them but by his attitude i suspect he would have. Has anyone else with gold pheasants had this experience?

I had a male that almost killed his 2 hens but left the chickens alone. But I still got rid of him, because i couldn´t breed with him.

Een eigen kippenras maken en laten erkennen is niet makkelijk. Reken maar op 10-20 jaar werk. Hoe je dat laat erkennen weet ik niet juist. Dat moet je eens vragen aan het VIVFN of aan Herman van 'Castle (Chickens)' op Facebook.
