is this park the same as the Tarkwa cyanide park? if it's the same pitch then I remember my friend from Tarkwa (Barnes Dominic ) who is now an assembly member used to play football on that pitch. we were mates in teacher training college in Akrokerri.

This is $16m stadium by a private company 🎉❤ meeting CAF standard great efforts ………but government officials will request for such amount for renovations for a stadium to be closed for one year buh still yet there will be no improvement 😅our leaders why ??😢🇬🇭😤
By far the best Sports stadium in Ghana if not West Africa. every single thing with regards to security and safety has been well take care of . This is a generational (lifetime)project
All we need to do in Ghana is urge these multinationals to replicate this in their host communities and there will be an expansion in the local economy, entertainment and reduction in youth unemployment
The community should be asked to take charge of this facility. Maintenance n cleanliness of the environment should be done by the Cheif n the people who are having their business around. Get the employees who will do everything to ensure that the pitch is fit for purpose. God bless Gold fields management

A private company used $16m to build a stadium whiles the government of Ghana uses $8m to renovate only Baba yara stadium but still two years in the stadium is leaking when it rains. 3y3 as3m oo
Nice looking, but the usual problem is, they will soon turn it into funeral grounds, music concert grounds etc. like the Accra sports stadium and the rest.

There are discipline engineers and innovators here in Ghana but not at the government sector…… it tell u that it’s the public institutions that are dirty n corrupt within not that there aren’t professional here in Ghana
That's a good edifice right there but I'm surprised our engineers don't make good use of the sun by resorting to solar panels because you need power 24/7 to run places like this but we always depend on our unreliable power system in Ghana where the light can go off at anytime. Kudos to the team behind this
Underground perforated pipes are used under most pitch ..... this is not the first. Even with the Youth Resource centers by NYA across 10 regions of Ghana has the same construction. I worked on the Nyinahin one.
They should use a modern lawn machine cutter to cut the pitch look at European pitches nowadays every pitch is hybrid half artificial half real grass then cut it or else if you plant real grass when you cut it thats when you see that the ball is not rolling but bouncing
I didn't see any washrooms for ladies. I think that has to be taken into consideration if there is none. Because ladies also play and love soccer too. Anyway good job done.
The project is not bad at all.. but the pitch will no be better than any other pitch in this Country because that's is not the professional way to go about football pitch.. it will be that sorgy, pail, and swanpy like Accra, Cape Caost, Kumasi and the rest of the stadiums in Ghana. Does the GFA Boss even know anything about good pitches? I see most of the useless pitches that the league is played on. Do they have a plan to make sure pitches are at a certain minimum standard for players to enjoy playing on?
The stadium belongs to a football club. It was built purposefully for football just like most club stadia in Europe. Most of the time, it is government that builds multi purpose stadia with tracks etc
@@KofiGreat-hb3oi I thought it was built for the community by the mining company. If it was specifically for just the football club, then that's fine. Given the current level of sports development in Ghana, building multi purpose facilities is far better than single purpose facilities.
@@tayibuabu Yes, you are right. But it was built because of Medeama SC based in Tarkwa. Although it is for the community, Medeama SC will use it 95% of the time for all their home matches.
If this project is costing $16 million dollars . How many of this can be build arround the country with the money being used to build the cathédrale. But Dan Kweku Yeboah will think of his stomach and support that one instead. You stomach journalists are our problem in Ghana. Hypocrites
