The ASV - RT 135 is MASSIVE! It weighs in over 12,000 lbs with 132 Horsepower and prices in around $135,000!! We take it forestry mulching in the woods and DEEP snow.
@Roman Bennett 4k psi is a decent amount when it comes to hydraulics. Especially the length of hose running down the boom arm. Pressure drop I'm certain. Also to flow 50 gpm you'd need roughly a 1" hose, 1 inch hose rated for 4k psi at the min is stiff as f. (Gpm x .3208)/area = velocity ft/min There is a range you need to stay in to maintain laminar flow.
Hey Stanley great video as always! I like how you support companies that stand behind the products they make. I also appreciate how you put it how it is. Kept on doing what your doing!
I'm truly enjoying your videos I'm a 2nd year general contractor in Nevada and this helps with research on jobs, equipment, and issues that will save us time and money
love the info and your delivery, Dumbed down for the less experienced but still giving the information and pointers that everybody can learn something from. Would love to try an ASV skid but not much for dealers in my area...down side to living in the sticks but will never leave lol.
Information is knowledge and that all helps in running a business. I like your guts and all approach to finding out out what machine quality is like as we cannot see that through the lens always. One of the reasons I barely buy anything online. Another great Vid Stan. Aussie Jeff
You definitely need to get one of these bad boys! Not only would it be badass for some demo projects, but it could move far more debris and also paver pallets! And not to mention I think this thing could easily push just as much snow if not more snow than the Sledge loader! It would compliment your ASV 75 so well and compliment the sledge too! Plus life’s too short to not have the biggest baddest skid loader!
Stan, your the man, keep up the good content... I enjoy your channel even more so since I'm basically following in your foot steps but more tree work than landscaping, I virtually quit cutting in the winter and do snow removal in northern Wisconsin. 3rd year doing commercial lots from pushing and stacking to salting and we offer removal of banks as well. Keep up the great work stan!!!
Stan, I enjoy your breakdown of the equipment on a business end. I’m a owner operator with a TL140, 16ft 9 ton trailer, and a 2001 Chevy c8500 dump truck. I like to see a price breakdown from buying new vs buying used. Aside from mulching, for the small guys, a 65-95hp machine runs just as nice compared to some of the bigger machines. I’d like to see a video of what is the most versatile machine when you compare HP to price in the used market. Keep up the videos, and God bless!
My personal preferance is a mid frame sized machine with 74 HP. We have 3 in this size. The ASV 75, the Kubota SVL 75 and a CAt 75 hp skiddy. We find that size to be the most productive all around.
@@Dirtmonkey mine comes in right at 82hp I believe. It’s been an awesome machine for me so far. We’ve had it about 3 years now, and have had minimal issues. Knock on wood!
Jon You are my Hero. A 2001 Chevy C-8500 Loved the Look of Chevy and GMC Dump trucks. They are that market bitch. For NOT having to have full size. Their 6 Yard dumps are so impressive. I ran a GMC 6 yarder back in Late 70s. It had the 4-71 Detroit Diesel. 5 speed with 2 speed rear axle. That Diesel had so much power. Just a month ago I rented a FORD F-600 6 yard Dump. It had the BIG V-10 GASSER. I understand why Ford put those GAS engines in. It was for the FLEET company to have a PROPANE fuel converter to meet emissions standards for fleets. BUT boy NO power coming up grades on hill driving. With a full load of 5/8- gravel. The GM product always had more POWER than the Ford's for that bitch in say 5 yard Dumps. My uncle had a F-600 that I pulled a 580-C Case backhoe with. The big GAS engine. It was a slow pull on any grade. That GMC just was a beast with that Detroit Diesel. Never any power loss with full load.
can't go wrong ever with a Yanmar engines with one of the best globally available and known for super high engineering and ASV has been a reliable skid loader and will only benefit from this new marriage, the owners i have talked to who ASV's are happy with them so far and no major complaints 👍
bob church my kubota dealer used to sell asv's wich he desided to qite selling asv equipment and contintued selling kubota and case equipment and other afordable equipment
Hey Stan, I love all your videos but the ones that I find the most useful are the ones that add to the business I think most people that watch your videos know how to run the equipment but your inside knowledge has been one of the things that I feel is a great benefit from your channel. Just one of your recommendations of making your competition your partner brings in an additional $150,000 a year
"Just one of your recommendations of making your competition your partner brings in an additional $150,000 a year"-I love hearing stories like that. I will keep trying to share as much as I know👊
Just bench racing the specs, the Case/NH TV620B has less horsepower but it looks like it lifts higher and more weight assuming all the metrics are measured the same way. The ASV seems more suited for forestry (or whatever else uses a lot of hydro attachment power)and the Case is more of a dirt work machine.
@@zb6618 Part of my bench racing assumptions. Giving the benefit of the doubt that the extra weight would translate to structural strength for the forces involved in digging. The benefit of the doubt going to the ASV is that it's probably a bit more nimble, possibly better floatation.
@@davewood406 the case is a much heavier duty machine built. it seriously has one of the heaviest undercarriage for ctls on the market. torsion beam, pinned not bolted and a Spicer heavy duty final drive.
That is quite the heavy chunk of machinery. I saw the trailer & truck & thought that isnt your typical compact loader. I imagine that extra horsepower comes in handy with attachments like that. When he was hesitant to give a rough price i just chuckled. The track system seems way better than the others on market & way better than the park manager here who made the call to get a track kubota loader. As always Stan thanks for the look at another great specialty work machine even though they have tons of attachments for them these days.
a friend of mine runs a fecon mulcher that has similar windows. he clears around railroad tracks lots of hobo camps he said he had a guy shoot at him with a 9mm once when he smashed the guys camp up the bullets just bounced off the window so he chased the guy with the mulcher till the cops came
I worked for a dealer in Texas that sold ASV for years, after I retired the were Terex, and now i see that they have become ASV again, those that I worked on had Cat-Perkins engines, at first the biggest complaint that we had was the sorry A/C. it did get better in the latter machines. That is a good looking machine, I would like to play with it for a while.
That is an absolute BEAST!!! That thing could likely move a butt-ton of snow! Would love to see it with a huge arctic sectional! Keep up the great work! Have a great week! Its been raining for 2 days and it's continuing to rain all day tomorrow. Not fun!
I love your home Stan.I love machines.I hated them when I was a shop mechanic.I have a bad back.Broke my neck and lower back in an accident on the way to work 42 k on a bad corner.I was off work for a couple years but mechanic days were over.Started operating equipment. Some of the same equipment I used to repair.I much more enjoyed operating than repairing.I enjoy your videos.I bought a used Bobcat and I clean driveway’s in the winter for something to do.Keep up the great videos.
"Some of the same equipment I used to repair.I much more enjoyed operating than repairing." me to! I started out renching on equipment but quickly learned that wasn't fun. I like running it a whole lot more. Stay safe bro.
very nice video / helpful info and normly when the track talk comes up i get lost lol but i under stood everything u guys was saying bc it was really that simple but yet smart / i also how simple asv is there pretty much bear bone and yet it seems to be a smarter bulid over all i always perfer simple vs all the extra junk not just for price but for how things run how u work on em how u might need to fix it etc / and stan idk what all feed back ya get but from my honest thoughts ur videos have always been good and yeah sometimes theres more talking about things vs doing the things but i like how with this yb channel u get best of both worlds and to me that keeps it fun and helpful i always learn stuff of you guys and i even tell ppl to check in and watch this / was just telling my dad the other day about dirt monkey n some of the stuff u do / thanks for making youtube videos / i always look forword to em/ sorry for any miss spells my keyboard is not the best .
Stan, last Friday was my birthday. I got a pair of ariat boots and I love them. Also I think I’m going ask out the girl after I go to prom with her. It’s three weeks away but wish me luck. I’ve never asked anyone out in my life though.
Wow what a skid loader and that salesman is only the best that thing has got to be a mini bulldozer when it comes to dirt work. Another great video thanks a bunch for what you do keep them coming down the pipeline
I like the equipment of course but the way you’re doing them with detail I really like in fact I’m going to CMP’s factory do too. I want to thank you for all the information you give us.
Yes i respect what you are doing to get as much information out of the manufacture as possible . i compare it to other channels and what the manufacture puts out on their channels , sometimes the manufacture is just putting out slick promo`s and says nothing about the machine.
love al the videos stan anyway u do them defo like getting al the info everythig always clear there no bs u just tell it how it is what good whats bad straight to the point so keep it up love all the viedos
@@richscott2952 would be nice to at least be a option, I have a cat 259d and it sucks to have to stop to talk to your guys so they can hear you. Sometimes I take the door off during the summer but it’s a pain.
I just received mine today from fecon, it's an asv but says fecon on it with a fecon mulching head. So excited to use it soon. Also have a case 620 coming in a few weeks 2 of the biggest loaders on the market. Going to be fun to compare the both
@@Dirtmonkey absolutely, I need to get you down to SD to try them both out for yourself. I have alot of projects coming up that would be an amazing test for both machines. We run all types of heads on them from stump grinding heads to a few different mulchers
Update on this machine, ha we have owned it since may with only 240hrs on it so far it has been nothing but a headache. Issue after issues and more time in multiple shops. Case 620b has been an absolute work horse but definitely heavy and not as good floatation as the asv. Im deeply pissed at asv for the cost of this machine and testing they say they do. Maybe i got a lemon. But at 165k i expected better. Will never buy one again
Stan, Very interested in this unit. The Fecon 150 has more power but the tracks on the Yanmar and at the 7-minute mark where they would pay the dealer to come out and re-track the unit is impressive to me. I really love the track on the Yanmar.
I love learning the technical things of tools and equipment. I just started research on the house steam engines on trains and train brakes work just because I haven't had the nitty gritty on equipment from a lot of different channels as of late. and everyone loves to see a piece of equipment run and just how far it can really go because that is also important in a price tag. What are you really paying for. Go nuts in a piece of equipment get the equipment running footage and make a video on it death challenge to equipment style. But we need the cold hard facts about what the piece of equipment actually is. I hope everyone sees the value just as much as I do.
Track system is great had a Terex pt 110 f never popped a track off bought a takeuchi tl12r2 first day not even three hours track off about 45 minutes to put the damn think on.
hi there nice machine and the truck wasn't bad either . well guess i still like my A300 bobcat with the wheels that turn does not tear my ground up at all . another good show john
I am here because of whatever you decide you're going to do. Thank you for all the video clips already Plus the videos in the future. But honestly what brought me to this channel is I noticed you would test equipment the most extremists. But whatever you decide I'll be here
It looks like the tyres on the road wheels can be replaced, this could be a selling point, especially if this could be done with the track/ wheels in place. That way you could replace the torn up ones as required to maximise track life and, more important, when a track does eventuially need replacing it can be fitted to new tyres to maximise service life.
I'm game- I like working with people making videos but I always try to add value in the videos. Some education, some fun and some pure entertainment. If your up for something like that- so am I.
Well hello after my absence I see you have new toys to play with. Also I saw that there was no views which is awesome.I missed a few vids but I am back and ready to view all, lol.
Nice equipment video. Too many people do hand tool videos. I know it feels up your content and you do a good job. Nice to see equipment keep it coming love your channel later.😎😁😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏👏
I worked for a guy who had a terex pt100g forestry and I loved the machine other then the cab ... that was also a skid steer I pulled behind my dakota lol that was heavy but oh well lol I miss that skid steere
I think what made those guys great was they were NOT salesman. they were the guys that build, beat and test these things. They destroy them and figure out how to make them better.
Stan, they used to have the RT 120 Forestry, which was my dream skid steer. It has now been replaced. This is MASSIVE lol holy cow. Are you adding this to your fleet?! Also, I LOVE this Gravely!!
Wow that seems to be the best skid steer out there. We are in the market for a mini excavator. I have no idea which one. We’ve only looked at Kubota & Yanmar so far
Stan, you always seem to stumble upon. The coolest equipment, how is your week going my friend, i have a lawn job this weekend,, it will be a. Thrill, this year is gonna be awsome, i truly can’t wait to get outside, i had my first official cut last Friday, on my moms birthday, it was a good day. Anyways, stan, you have a blessed night,a nd see ya on Friday, god bless and go get em, your opal and friend. Alexander costa
hey that was not nice I was fired up to see what happens. Great video. The price of everything is crazy. I like your commentary with the knowledge I feel I lear from most of your videos. Thanks
oh yeah- anything over 75 horseys has to have def now aday's. A lot of people try and avoid higher horse power equipment just becuase of that. That DEF fluid can freeze in bitter cold and needs to stay heated to operate correctly.
Case Minotaur is not a skid loader but is as well check one of those out Stan. Can be used as a small dozer or track loader. Even has the option of steel tracks. Would love to see a forestry video with that bad mama jamma
I have seen that Minotaur machine at shows but never operating. Its like a lot of case concept machinery- I think its just for hype. You never seen them doing anything.
Hey Stan it's Rocco from Connecticut wow that's some machine but so is the price I like when you asked and he said take the horse power and add the zeros so 85 hp would be 85,000 they are pricey but there must be money to be made. As always enjoy your videos there appreciated thanks your friend Rocco from Connecticut
