Try using the quick commands. You can set up your phone to do certain tasks automatically whenever you wake up or say a keyword. for instance, you say hi Bixby good night, you can program it to turn on alarm, put phone on do not disturb mode, play your go to sleep song and read your last message. I have my phone setup to where when the alarm goes off, Bixby reads me my morning news, my traffic status to work, latest email messages, turns on NPR radio app and streams, goes through the reminders list for the day, all while I am brushing my teeth hands free. There are so many other features you can do with it that not many people know about. They easily dismiss Bixby because it doesn't look or work like Sirius or Assistant. Bixby is a device centric AI. When Bixby 2.0 comes out in a few more months, things will be even more advanced.
When I said you can use accessibility with Bixby voice that means you can turn on the screen reader using your voice and also you can turn on the magnifier window that's in accessibility settings
Dont you find Bixby annoying because of that side button that instantly activates when u mount the phone to make a video or even to mount on the car dash?? Annoying. I never knew wht it was cause I use google voice assistant..lol
Yes, you can completely shut down Bixby. However instead of telling you how I would suggest you just switch to Apple. Android is meant for users who enjoy customization and freedom to use 3rd party apps. You dont even know how to control your settings. You want easy, fast and premium go to Apple.
On the Note 8 it’s automatically set up as you go through the initial phone set up. If not, press the Bixby button and go through the set up. You can use bixby via the button or by calling it with your voice.
I have the Note 9. Whenever I ask Bixby to do something, it doesn’t understand. I am ready to give up, and mute it. I find that Siri, knows a lot more and understands a lot more. How do you train Bixby so that I can start using it.
Press the Bixby button once, it will bring up Bixby voice which is different from the Bixby home screen. Tap the 3 dots on the upper right corner. Go to settings then to voice wake up. Down at the bottom you can record your voice to Bixby again and choose the Hi Bixby sensitivity
Oh, you may want to change the voice to male. Go to settings again while in Bixby voice, then to language and voice style. I would highly suggest fiddling around and checking out all Bixby can do. Its remarkable. People honestly dont use Bixby purely because there is a slight learning curve.
One last thing to go over board. For me personally I use Bixby for everything except one thing. Browsing the web, If you say Ok Google and ask a question Google assistant is the best at that, probably because Google IS a web browser giant lol, Samsung internet just is not there yet. If you find you cannot use Bixby very well just use Google Assistant. I feel Google Assistant is way better than Siri anyhow.
Thank you so much....I really appreciate all your tips! Would you say that Bixby is better at voice-operating the phone then, but for browsing the net, to go to Google assistant for the most accurate help?
No Bixby can not do all Google can do ? But Google can not do what Bixby can do ? They Work Hand in Hand together , The Biggest Problem I have with Bixby is Voice Recognition ,Google is by far better at understanding my Tennessee Hillbilly Accent LOL
