Good tips! Thanks for future info. I’m gonna get one of these things. I just don’t know which model I’ll buy. I’m looking for a nice low mile machine that has been well cared for, not some tired piece of junk from just anybody. I sold Luxury cars for over 20 years in the competitive Chicagoland Market. Lots of cut throat competitors.

Hi Martin, I have a check engine light on and I followed your instructions on how to retrieve the code however nothing comes up on my screen and of course the check engine light continues to appear. Any other suggestions besides, yes I know take it in. Lol thanks
Unfortunately not, i dont know any other trick.. on new models with smart dashboard there is in menu to show codes... but elder models this was the trick
Hey man, I had watch this video before. And here I am watching this again. That’s how much I love ur stuff. This Daytona series F-3 has an additional feature? I was under the impression the Daytona series has additional problems? Please let me know what you’re heard, thx.
I have the spider 900cc ST2014 and the tric you are talking about to see if you have a problem on the spider doesnt work on mine. today i took my spider and a orange screen appeared that say : mode preservation in french and then the check engine appears plus the cooling thing for about 10 seconds and then desapeared. dont know what it means everything seems ok afterwards but now im scare to ride it.
Matin I have a 2009 Spyder SM5 990 with engine light on and check engine but no codes come up when I press the M-S-turn signal switch done simultaneously. Any suggestions?
Hi Susan , you just repeat the procedure by pressing the two buttons again. When you turn on (if your model allows) traction by pushing the two buttons as shown by Martin a symbol will appear on the left dial showing squiggly lines (that’s traction on) push them again and the symbol will disappear (that’s traction off ) alternatively when you turn off the bike it will also reset to traction control on. Cheers Steve. ps( it’s push and hold for app 4 seconds)
Will while boosting 2017 Spyder f3 I left the car running . after replacing the can am battery a engine light came on . why did the engine light come after it cranked up.??
Hi Everyone We have a 2014 Can Am Spyder RT - Intermittently we get an DESS fault, causing the engine not to start. if you let it sit for 20 mins or more and keep trying eventually it will start. Im sure it will at some point just not go. A BRP dealer checked it and didn't find a code and charged $150 to a No Fault Found. Next time it does this I will check the code as per this Video....it has no codes now and its starting.
I have a 2020 Spyder, I have a drop down message that says VSS fault, and the ABS and engine figures show on the bottom of the screen. If I start the engine, it says "limp home mode" any ideas. I tried the push the two buttons and the turn signal, but no help
welll.. maybe a bad battery.. YUTSA or whatever its the name is known for bad quality... so sometimes even new can cause problems.. maybe not tight connecctor can also be an issue...
I am sorry buddy, but i am not a mechanic 🤷♂️ but maybe somebody esle can give you better answer. Also try to google codes so you can see what the problem can be
I have a 2012 Can Am RSS and have no error codes or checks engine. It shifts into first and reverse but when you give it gas it’s like it’s ok neutral. Anyone have any ideas?
My name is James I have a can am spider and when I ride for 2 hours my check engine light comes up want can I do it my first motorcycle can you please help me out thank you very much
@@MartinTheVlogger On my way home tonight, I got the "limp home mode" scroll across the screen and the engine light came on as well.. Its the first time Ive seen this come up. Also it was running a little rough near idle.. I had a look with a torch and noticed dampness (oil??) on a piece of hardware behind the battery.. I dont know what the component is.. It has a black electrical plug connected to the back of it.. Sorry I cant be more descriptive - I just ride the thing.. I dont know what makes it work.. Also for ages the nanny control would come on on hard left hand sweepers - I can go round that same bend faster on my Royal Enfield Classic 500.. I wonder if the error code points in that direction.. 🤔
@@sirgalah561 hmmm... oil behind battery or around batery does not make mich sense to me personally. Cooling & coolant yes and it likes to drop and get loose on elder F3. If you have problems with nanny in only one corner it can be an issue with alighment but it would rather say VSS not Limp home.. limo home mode can be caused by many different things. From loose connector on battery to sparkplug goes bad etc...
@@MartinTheVlogger I found out what the error code is (and it took less than a count of five - it was instant) code P0340 - cam position sensor.. Apparently is a quite common thing to go wrong.. So parts may not be available for some time.. I also couldnt find any video on how to replace the part myself.. Apparently the CPS is behind the air box or air filter.. Do you have a video on your page?
If we talk about F3,then it should be where you have Frunk, the black.plastic under the headlights,is hiding it i believe. Look at pictograms please. One side say Coolant tge otger if i remember have the computer pictogram
Old video, we do it differently now. Also on my website www.martinthevlogger.com you have time stamps so you can see only that part of the video that you like 😉
