There is a website, with a list of integrations and supported versions. It changes from version to version. Today, IDEA supports SCIA Engineer 22 and 22.1: www.ideastatica.com/support-center/bim-links-supported-versions-of-3rd-party-applications.
@@IvanBeles Thank you, I'm on speed learning IDEA and your tips are great. Just trying some weird industrial joints. MAybe get in touch with you next week, for a short conversation, thank's again
Thank you for great video. Is it possible to do same connection with precast concrete construction? For example, when I want to desing console or barb.
You can export SCIA Model into DWG or for example IFC. This can be imported into CAD Programs. IDEA Model can be downloaded from the Viewer as a 3D DWG. But the way from Analysis to CAD is difficult. And there are some reasons, why. The geometry of a structural model in a CAD Software, like Tekla or Advance Steel, is much more complicated than the analysis model. And, there is not only the geometry. There are also production operations. And then you have the question of revision control. It is not only one step to calculate and then draw. Both processes accompany each other for some time. Engineer and Draftsman work simultaneously, and the structure also changes often. I personally think, this can only work if there is one database behind these different software programs and each of them must write immediately in such database. Like, if you have a multiplayer video game. You also cannot send the changes to your fellows about your car position by e-mail.
