You could also buy the press on nails from ebay(I like the european short nails) and attach them to a flat sideed pencil, paint them, then glue them on. They're really cheap. $5-8 for 600. I paint my nails this way a lot because I don't have time to wait for my nails to dry changing diapers and whatnot. :D Perfect nails every time.

@SatsukikSan I usually wait for my nails to dry before applying topcoat, that keeps the colors from running. Also, try to use as few brush strokes as possible, to eliminate smudging. And if it's making your nails chip, maybe try using a different brand?

@Soccerash0345 yes you can use a paint brush or a used liquid eyeliner brush. Easy things from home or craft store.

@TheFrenchPenguiiin You can do the squared pattern with only black on a plastic bag, and then remove it so it becomes an adhesive, and then you can just glue that on your right hand. Hope it helps ^^

I didn't used a dotting tool I did it with the stripper and it came perfect but I did it with the pink and white nail polish.

I love this design but I didn't have a striper.. So I made one out of a new paintbrush and a toothpick... It works and it is seriously easy to clean... And guess what? Instead of white, I used a fluoro pink! OMG, it looks SO awesome if I say so myself!

you could make a stencil or cut up tape and stick it on so that you can paint your nails the base colour, let it dry and then stick over the template stencil thing and just paint the whole nail again and when its dry peel it off and you have perfect squares :P but love the idea, i'm gonna try it with different colours :D

@irox1324 Put nailpolish on them, or build it off. Like, keep on each hand 1 nail you want to spare. And after a weak you choose 2 nails.. then 3.. ^^ it works. Did it too.

@1234bjg because it protects ur natural nails! nail polish can ruin ur nails over time! do your nails have ridhes?? if so that could be from not useing a base coat!

@angelbuffybones You just have to work very slowly, and practice. It sucks, haha, but if you practice enough with your opposite hand at doing detailed designs, it gets a lot easier. I've practiced enough that I can't tell the difference from one hand to the other anymore! Either that or have someone else do it for you. :)
