Welcome to Super Dwarf Sunday. This month we’re checking in with Ryder and TC just a couple of weeks after they helped me film for Retic Fest 2022 ‪@ReachOutReptiles‬ and a week following the event
NOTE: Just to remind you if you’re new to the channel, I live and work at an animal sanctuary and someone is here 24/7. The property and the animals are never left unattended day or night. I mention this because it may seem unusual for me to talk so casually about snakes being loose.

I just love TC! He is THE coolest snake. I love his bold, confident personality and I laughed when you said he was ‘demanding’ to be let out. He really was!!😂🤣 Ryder’s setup is amazing!!

The tent enclosure is wonderful. I love Super Dwarf Retics but in Connecticut they are not legal to keep. The law makers do not consider that Super Dwarfs stay small.. Perhaps in time that will change. Learning a lot about them from you and ideas for snake enhancement which I apply to keep my variety of snakes interested.

I can’t get my head around the idea of letting your snakes roam freely in your house, in my house they would disappear under the oven or down a crack and be gone forever. Is your house just super snake proof? How do you make this work?

Yes. We’ve made modifications or vents and other things to snake proof as much as possible and only the medium and larger snakes are able to roam freely and it is when supervised/people are always here. Smaller snakes, fast moving snakes, and babies get exercise time in contained spaces like tents or soft-sided dog crates or exercise pens.
