Hi ladies and gents. welcome back to the channel once again. I hope you are all well. Join me in this vid as we checkout my new tarp from Bushcraft Spain. Hope you enjoy. Take care. #bushcraft #bushcraftspain #oilskintarp
Figured I would start from the beginning with the channel and just finished this and your Lightweight Stealth Camping video 😊. This tarp reminds me a bit of the thick canvas Woods tents we used in Scouts way back in the day. I have fallen in love with DD’s Multicam as you know 😆, but I would love this for its old school nostalgic value and would definitely take it along for front country car camping 👍. I am a talker so if another fellow Scout camper passed by my site and struck up a chat about it, I’m sure it would be quite the conversation piece, especially being artisanal and coming from Spain 🥰. I do however shudder to think what it would cost to get to me here in Canada 🫣😬.
Hey there, Steve, it's always a pleasure, my fine fellow. For price and durability, you can't go far wrong with the DD standard DD tarps. They are a great go-to, but like you say, the Bushcraft Spain tarp is just a little bit more special. It is indeed very nostalgic in view of its canvas finish. It is a pleasure to use, but an absolute nightmare when wet and you have nowhere to dry it. 😆 I couldn't comment on the courier cost, but I'm guessing there would be an import charge. Lovely bit of kit, though, for sure. Take it easy, fella.
Followed a RU-vid video and used my 3m canvas tarp as a hammock last month too - really comfortable and was able to throw the side-flaps over as a fly-sheet too to extra protection - definitely a very versatile bit of kit!
Good to hear, i saw the other negative review and i saw a vidro where a centervtie out ripped out. Seems like there might beca small risk of getting a faulty one but might be worth the gamble. Hmmm.
It's an expensive gamble, but unfortunately, there is no way of knowing what the quality is going to be like until it arrives. That is unless you can get hold of someone from the company to hand pick you one out and send pics before purchase, but that is highly unlikely. I'm just glad I was fortunate enough to get a decent one. Take it easy.
I'm sorry to hear that, bud! I have read a few reviews stating the same. I got lucky, it seems. I agree on the price too! They are bloody expensive things. Thanks for stopping by, pal. Take it easy.
