And these days $1500 will get you an Epiphone or an entry-level American-made guitar. It's also pretty easy to spend $2k on mid-level playback monitors too.
IK's stuff is pretty cool! I've been with IK since they started years & years ago! Hey! The power cable was old & bent going to my Crate! I use new bigger cable! Amp is quietest amp on earth now with no static & best distortion with out noisegate at vol 8! Do me a favor! When you get yours! Goto bias shop & walk out the door quick so no one stops you! Get to your home or shop! And plug that amp in! And when you finally get done playing for first time! Have someone take a picture of you! Cause you won't be able to! And I want to see that face!
Any advice for choosing between these and the smaller iloud mtm mk2? These are bigger and heavier, but might be worth it if the sound is fuller and clearer. Looking to use with ToneX for practice rather than my valve amps for easier volume control for practice sessions.
I’d definitely get these instead of the smaller ones if just using them for jamming on guitar. I have the JBL 5” monitors and they sound good and loud but lack the low end so I got the matching JBL 10” subwoofer and sounds amazing now! More like playing through a cab with the low end
I feel like virtual monitoring inside a room is going to lead to bad results. You kinda need headphones to take the room out of the equation to do that.
