Great mowers but what a crap design for getting at the belts.....For want of a small removable plate near the end of the belt guard, you could just remove the whole belt guard in a couple of minutes without all that poncing about.. It's true what they say, "Those that design it, don't have on work on it"...Good video though and thanks for taking the time to show people...
ok that not a fahr mower its a zetor 165 they are really good mower had ours for 12 years cutting 80 to 100 arces a year only this year had to change belts you did not like the sip mower you had then?did you make some hay trailer had hay on it wheres the vid?
noticed you use disposable gloves for milking. They stopped making the kind of gloves we always use, so thought we'd give the disposable ones a go. Bought about 200 pairs, got home and noticed they were XXL. Had already opened the pack, so tried them on and they were somehow a perfect fit. I usually buy large gloves because any size below is too small. What the hell do people with big hands do when milking cows? Also, found that rather then throwing the gloves out after every milking, just held onto them and did a few milkings out of each pair.
+Ruslan McCabe we've used disposable gloves for quite a few years now. I buy them off the internet by the case. We use them about 3 times before they split, the cheap ones don't last so long. Wouldn't be without them now, the ends of my fingers used to split in winter before i started wearing them
+thefunkyfarmer best gloves we've ever had were very thick latex. Bought them in beijing and they last much longer than any pair of kitchen gloves. Tried to buy more online but they don't ship to nz.
We converted one of those to hydraulic drive at work as it was chewing through belts topping returns, but then the drum sheared off and with all the other issues we've decided it's more hassle running one of those than its worth and were now looking for a old second hand mower
it's not taking it apart that people worry about, it's having to put it back together. Is this the mower you had problems with and sent back? and how big is the mower?
+thefunkyfarmer ours does about 6ft 7. Is nice with the extra length, but with smaller tractors we can't cut the heaviest grass. The contractor we use has something like 8ft. Takes no time to go around a paddock.
+Ruslan McCabe yes nice to have extra length. The sip mower we bought was bigger than this one but we sent it back because it was crap. Sadly theres no spare money to buy a new mower now
money is an issue now. Our ATV is long overdue for a replacement, most farmers do every 2-3 years and ours is from 2008, still runs well though. And the daedong tractor still has a broken clutch and now the ignition is faulty in both tractors. Daedong won't stay on unless key is held, and our new holland won't turn off unless it's stalled. Things break regularly and we can't do anything about it.
