Don't look back. If I were ever to post music on a RU-vid channel as you do, I would do it for me and myself only, as a way of encouraging my progress. Do whatever you like. It must be like this imo. We're here just to witness it, not to influence the direction your music has to go; at most we can give suggestions and constructive criticism/inspirations. That's how I see it anyways

personally, I appreciate how much you've changed as an artist, back when I started to listen to you I was really into breakcore and that - since that's what you made a lot of naturally I loved all of those songs. But at the same time, it's probably partly because of you that I listen to the types of music that I do now, which is great!! I thinks it's completely natural to go through cycles of liking a specific genre and moving on, and I think that can be extended into making music too so yeah, thank you azali!!! :D

This really feels like its a reprise of the main character's leitmotif in a way chiller track. Almost like its the calm reflective version of the melody before the final confrontation. Its super good. Some of your older songs are my favorites such as mechanical god, but what I really love about your music is the journey you've brought us all on. Seeing someone really passionate about their craft and sharing every step along the way and what they have learnt is super inspiring. I think you should keep going down the paths that entice you rather than bend to what you think your viewers want. No matter what, it'll be a treat to listen to.

I fill my lungs with the fresh air of the forest as I relax at my campfire. How long has it been since I last felt this peaceful? I can't even tell anymore. Everyday life has taken its toll on me. My skin is covered in scars. The deep shadow under my eyes is ever growing. My voice sounds rough and beaten. My mind is still hazy at times. But still, I am alive. Just like this fire, my soul is still burning bright, lighting the way around me. Even through all the hardship, all the friendships found and lost, the people I met and forgot, as well as those I left and will never forget... I still manage to walk towards the future. Tomorrow, the Sun will rise, ignorant of my struggles. Tonight, the Moon still watches over me, high and mighty. Spring will still follow after winter, like autumn will after summer. It feels like nothing is as it was before, but in the grand scheme of things, this world is unchanging. I find solace in the promise of a familiar tomorrow.

I'm not even halfway through your channel yet, but I've listened to a lot of your older songs and some of the new ones. I personally like both!! :) There's always a very strong atmosphere/feeling which is why I think I love your music so much. Looking through the most recent videos, the only thing I'd miss is how often you'd make more simple or chill music (like this one) with some theme in a title ("ancient ruins", "the forever storm", "betrayal" etc.). Listening to those it feels like listening to music and looking at a picture that gets painted during a song. It happens with a lot of music, obviously, but yours does it really, REALLY well. Though I understand that it's probably much easier for you to make now and you need to improve and challenge yourself in different ways! :) Also, I saw a reply on one of your older videos about how you first come up with chords, then secondary melodies and only then the main melody and I'm wondering if you're still doing this?

I think that you should keep focusing on the music that you enjoy and love to create! There's nothing wrong with revisiting older tracks too, and when it comes to an audience's preferences, there will always be people who prefer the old and those that prefer the new. I hope you reach all the goals you set out to achieve!! Seeing artists of any kind strive to go out and work towards what they want brings me joy. I'm kind of a chaotic mess when it comes to music, so it's hard for me to focus on the many, many artists that I enjoy, like you. But I really really like this song! I can't wait to listen to more!

Obviously, your fans matter. A lot of people tend to get stuck in a certain style because it scratches their brain in a funny way they can't explain. This is natural, and fine, and definitely not bad at all; I've seen cases where it does *get* bad, like people preferring an old "version" of the artist over the new stuff they release, and explicitly stating that in a toxic manner. If you want a crowd, it's up to you to please the crowd; But never forget you, yourself have to be content with the music you make aswell. At the end of the day, music is a lot of things but it's always going to be a means to express yourself. Don't lose yourself in that ^^

I personally have been having up and down opinions about your music recently- not that your new things are bad, but just that they didn't mesh with me as well as your older stuff. they are good pieces of music I still appreciate, but with songs like tiramisu, seaside hometown, corrupted automata and eve's alter ego, there's a certain ring that isn't there nowadays. I'm not sure what it is, but when I look at pieces like game over (one of my favorites of yours!) and compare it to your other recent piano pieces, I find that they just don't hit as hard. I have, however, been really enjoying the bass guitar training arc and loved decisive battle! your new breakcore stuff has been great too and divinity dissonant really fought for my favorite song of yours and still placed really high up there. weirdly enough, though I really liked this song compared to your other recent piano pieces. maybe there's an old ingredient or smth you added back in from past music? all in all, there is a certain ring in your 2023 and prior music (specifically in albums like Voices From the True World III and some of your random solo stuff, as well as Even More Cats and Even More Classical and your meme songs like the one about the lick) that seems to have faded away recently, except in your breakcore arrangements- with those, I feel like they've evolved like the piano ones but in a way that's still really enjoyable. I do still like your new piano pieces as well, but again, they don't mesh with me as much as your older stuff. at the end of the day, I don't hate or even dislike your new music, it's all still very good! I guess I just miss a bit of that older, perhaps more inexperienced (not in a bad way!!) sound you had before. I think you'll be great whichever direction you take though, and I'm super excited for what lies ahead. super congratulations on winning cosmic radio too btw!! I think it's one of the things that shows just how far you've come :0 (also, if you're looking for new genres to try, I think you'd be REALLY good at botanica!! Azali, I will say as I have: every frequency belongs to you. What I mean by that is that, all of this classical stuff is also based on what could be played the easiest, what patterns generally sounded the best, and your current stuff, being made to sound better for all that, all your piano techniques make you better at that, and that's great, it makes music that you know before the end sounds good. But we have Technology now. Cobbling up layers and layers and getting to notes that your hands just can't. Impossible to play music doesn't necessitate impossible to sound good. And notes, microtones, they're good shortcuts for the sounds good, but maybe you'll find a Sounds Better Here in between the gaps. So, I say Learn The Theory. Get to The End Of Music. Learn so much you're taking Liszt's lunch money and swirlying Leo Ornstein at the same time. Stick a cannon in there to spite Tchaikovsky. Win. And once bald men with goatees and conductor's wands are weeping over your transcripts and hearing that you're going to be played sends a chill down every violinist and a whisper down every crowd, start again with the rest. Whatever other music theory you want. Cos after it all you're going to have it all. You're not going to stop after composing the tenth generation of Monster Hunter with the 40 hour soundtrack it's going to have. Nor after the 100 hour final fantasy soundtrack you're making. I don't care if you branch out now into gospel rap or do it at the end. Nor when you do traditional Iranian/funk metal. Nor Mongolian throat singing/darksynth sea shanties, nor sovietwave hyperpop, nor happy hardcore black metal. You'll be dissatisfied stopping your technical, traditional journey short here, I know that much, so take your time, test out your skills, learn it properly, have lots of fun, and then get real _freaky_ with your stuff as and when you want to. Talk to other folk who never bothered with, or forsook, the old ways along the way, too. I'm sure there's other non-mainline but still somewhat collectively subscribed schools of music. Hell, you mentioned games before, there are musics that can only exist in certain contexts like games. You know, either the modern ideas of building layers or changing to other tracks during certain events in a game-mounting in monster hunter world, as you move through the levels in Nier automata. Then there's the idea of sound effects to punctuate music, if you hear Solar Sect of Mystic Wisdom, I think it is, the Touhou theme of the nuclear lady, then you'll notice it sounds very different with a blaring klaxon and bullet sound effects. And of course, Sound Channels. Talking old school here, Megaman. It only had so many sound channels, in the software, for the device. So, sometimes one layer of the backing music will cut out because you're firing the Mega Buster, or the Metal Blade, and there's an explosion sound happening, and I gotta tell you that's incredibly satisfying. It's like the music stops and gives way to tell you just how cool what you just did was. It's something adding alone can't replicate, and coding in changing tracks for it would require either a very specific event to be made to allow for the opportunity, or just a really convoluted code in general, when just changing the channel gets it done just fine.

I'll consider this a checkpoint video for me I've recently gotten back to drawing and it's been fun. At first it was hard as a perfectionist, but I just had to keep telling myself that I will make mistakes and I should instead move on and learn from those mistakes rather than stay in one place, trying to fix a single mistake for months when it doesn't really matter. I've already drawn 3 artworks now and I'm very proud of how those turned out, despite seeing so many flaws in all of them. It took me 2 days for each one (not counting the total hours I worked on it but how old each drawing is by the time I finished it). I thought it would take me weeks lol. Turns out, I just had to relax, don't worry about all the problems I see, and just trust the process. It will be ugly at first, and if it's not, then that's a miracle, a 1 in a billion chance. And somehow, for 6 days, I haven't felt any burnout at all. I feel fine, I feel calm, I feel good. Maybe it's because I took things at a slower speed that I could handle or maybe it's because I'm less perfectionistic now. Anyways, cool music! It's lovely, peaceful, I like it! Thank you azali for the lovely music

I loved your old breakcore music but I've been endlessly interested in what YOU want to make. I love hearing all the different ways your music changes and evolves. I wouldn't worry too much about your music and art changing, I'm always happy to hear it. I suspect a lot of other people agree.
