You can find that info in children's books in Canada. They break it down to the understanding of a 5 year old. They introduce concepts to them very early! They get to know about inventors and their invention and how that improved lives and changed the world. They get introduced to manufacturing practices (how things are made), how the bank works, the solar system and minerals, how to cross the streets, how to board the bus, how the electoral system works and why, etc. I went to elementary sch. in GH, and never saw those things in our books. Edit: If there's a thrift store where u live, check out the children's bks section and browse the content. I usually get some and ship to some communities in GH.
