Those veterans gave up a life of comfort and peace to fight for the very world we live in, they watched brothers die and payed a high price both mentally and physically but did that in the name of freedom and love for their country and had seen and done things that probably didn’t help them sleep so good but they did it so people could be FREE. These types of men cannot be bought nor built, they are born into this world with a sense of duty to stand for what’s right and to give up what they want so that other people could have the right to freedom, religion, speech, equal rights, law and that’s what they fought for, they could have looked at that enlistment form and thought “crieky I’m not signing up for this” but no they didn’t know what he was getting into but still did that in the name of freedom and duty for their fellow countrymen. Death was following them like a shadow but these guys didn’t give a rats ass, they gave a rats ass more about winning the war then when they were going to get killed. As captain America said “the price of freedom is high... but it’s a price I’m willing to pay”. Theses guys are true heroes, “the person who does the right thing simply because it must be done, is in without a doubt a real superhero” *Stan lee, “ blessed are those who thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled” *Jesus Christ These a the real heroes.
