Clips of Kelsey Grammer playing Frasier Crane in Cheers Featuring Frasier Crane, Diane Chambers, Woody Boyd, Carla Tortelli, Cliff Clavin, Norm Peterson and Sam Malone. / roxycakes Thank you Roxycakes.
I loved Frasier's bitterness whenever he interacted with Diane. It stayed so consistent even crossing over to Frasier when she showed up. Nobody plays bitterness and obsession funnier or better than Kelsey Grammar. The top two greatest Frasier Diane bitterness jokes were the "Like i felt when that bitch Diane left me" and "Gee, I'll Try" LMAO!
as a fan of Frasier on his own show, it beyond weird to see him in bar with regular guys drinking beer watching sports complaining about a referee's calls
There's a nice callback in Frasier when he sits with his dad in a bar, starts watching a game and orders a beer. You get the sense he's rusty but still knows what to do to fit in. I think it's the episode Martin breaks up with Sherry.
@@DomWeasel Great recall. Frasier was someone who could adapt to his environment. At Cheers he could fit in naturally like he did at the British Pub on Frasier "Where Every Bloke Knows Your Name." and still be the sherry swilling, wine club joining, artsy fartsy lovable snob with his own inner circle, especially with Niles. Very well layered character.
I love that the imperfections in the freezer lore are the results of nobody ever expecting this character to be as big as it was! Everything Fraiser blew up! Lilith was supposed to be a one-off also and they ended up having a child! Fraiser is my favorite character in television.... Hands down.
Just a note about the info at the start of the video, Frasiers fathers occupation was addressed in an episode of 'Frasier', when Sam returns and Frasier tells Sam that he lied about his fathers job as he was embarrassed to admit he had a blue collar working father. Cheers :-)
I only binged Cheers episodes WAY after even the Frasier series ended. I always found the mid seasons awkward when it came to Frasier. Storyline wise, why did he keep frequenting the bar? 1- it's not his style, 2- It brought him painful memories of Diane. By season 6 or so, he was officially a regular, but.. Again, those few seasons were kind of strange!
While it worked out in the long run, I feel like the Season 4-5 era was still kinda struggling to make the series run without Coach, so they got Woody and kept Frasier around, even if for a while he was kinda just 'Diane's bitter ex' and needed to branch out chemistries through the other cast members. Admitedly Diane leaving and Lillith debuting might have also helped the character mellow out.
@@RoxyCakes even interviews with people that love the 80, 90' s tv shows. Taxi, Perfect Strangers, Seinfeld, whos the Boss, Married with Children. Possibly analyse 1 or 2 episodes in 30 minutes or more, discussion... or another example: best 3 performances of Ted Danson in Chers, best 3 of Woody Harrelson, etc even if in the video its only you talking.
