The annual Cheese-Rolling and Wake at Cooper's Hill, near Brockworth, Gloucestershire, England, U.K. The third year in a row that I've been to watch this madness! #CheeseRolling #CoopersHill #Gloucestershire #UK
Doesn't feel like we are on a island and there's plenty to do they're just a bit mental in Gloucestershire due to the genetics they just love throwing themselves down hills for fun
06:07 guy in orange shirt (and many others): I'm so smart I'm going full speed all the way eventhough I haven't been training for 20 years. 06:45: "never again..."
2:20 that one kid who stopped and cried lol damn and that was nice of that guy in yellow (who honestly seems to be in this every year) talking to him ahah
i've always loved seeing people failing, it's not that I like to see people hurt, it's just that I enjoy to see people doing things like this knowing they may get hurt and they don't care
First of all what beautiful climate, all around Super Green at Coop9er's Hill, Natural Fresh air, Beautiful People, Absolutely Fantastic Game.. OMG England is Beautiful Country ever seen in this planet very much love to live in this such climate with beautiful wife....
Yuuh great I feel like Harry Potter and the others are going to swoosh in any moment with their broomstick en have an ol time brawl...... With their own magical cheese block
Here's my footage of the 2014 event: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lmnjHu4PwGc.html Here's my footage of the 2015 event: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gLH7-5ub-Ts.html
imagine.. people 100 years ago thinking…”in 2016 people will make flying cars” and then people make a game where people run down a hill risking their whole life just to get a cheese.. i love this
What a wonderful spectacle, just made for video cameras. I'm amazed there were no serious injuries. Looked like a lot of fun. Boys will be boys and sometimes even girls will be boys!! Brilliantly captured and held my attention for the full 14 minutes.
I@@BadgerBotherer1 I would love to go and watch it, at the risk of sounding a bit lame, I'm not too sure if I could cope with it at my time of life!! Perhaps you could take part and I could video you rolling down the hill - what do you say?!!
I say, "No!". I've just turned 50, and I've got arthritis in my knees and hips, so I think I'll give rolling down that hill a miss! It was quite painful even standing on that steep hill watching for a couple of hours!
@@BadgerBotherer1 That's most disappointing J. I was rather looking forward to it. Just turned 50, you're a mere whipper snapper, wait till you get to my age of 68!! It's funny but I have never suffered with my knees, the rest of me is falling apart though, dodgy feet, dodgy teeth, a touch of meniere's (look it up) and an iffy back!! Apart from all of that I feel fine...
Well, I suppose I could slide down very gingerly on my bottom, finishing about half-an-hour after everyone else, but you would have to pay me! Funnily enough, I've been getting hearing loss and some ringing in one ear recently - I might suggest Menierie's to my doctor. Thanks for mentioning that!
I've seen pics of the hill from the top and it looks absolutely terrifying, its a damn near cliff. Yes, its stupid (and brutal), but you would have to have massive balls to do this and be an absolute nutter...I love it! These people know how to enjoy life.
This has been on my bucket list for a while now. Not visited Cooper's Hill yet. Have visited the bog snorkelling at Llanwrtyd Wells. Awesome. I've followed this too since the local council tried to muscle in on it with threats and the Police terrorised the old lady from the firm that supplied the cheese. Great clip :)
i so miss Gloucestershire, i had to move much higher north to the west Midlands and i can't get to cooper's hill so easily now. i could beat all these lot now as i think i was born without fear growing up in Gloucestershire. i grew up in a town called Stonehouse. I'm so homesick lol but the trick to this is just run 🏃♂️
@@BadgerBotherer1 right, it's the type of crazy nobody can hate. I think it's awesome after 6 years, millions of views and thousands of comments you still interact with your audience. And I'm curious have you ever participated in the cheese rolling? It seems like quite the experience
@@thepantyraid Hi, and thanks. No, I haven't ever participated. I'm 54, and I don't see many of that age going down! I'd just seen some clips on TV and RU-vid, so, on one Monday when I was free back in 2014, I travelled the 50 or 60 miles from where I live to watch it. It was so silly, that I went back to watch it the following two years as well! It's been cancelled for the last three years due to Covid, but hopefully the event will be back next year. You going to have a go?!
@@BadgerBotherer1 understandable, it's still a good laugh and something to look forward to even if you don't partake. If the opportunity arose and the company was right I would probably join in, definitely wouldn't press my luck to far though. I'd love to see a go pro footage of someone who's running after the cheese, it would be crazy to see it from their perspective.
You mean the redhead rolling down the hill in the ladies' race? She's won it four times: www.google.co.uk/search?source=hp&ei=-kAgXr-mJYeOlwTvnZigDQ&q=%22flo+early%22&oq=%22flo+early%22&gs_l=psy-ab.12..0l3j0i22i30l7.53190.62704..66522...0.0..0.979.3616.0j2j8j1j6-1......0....1..gws-wiz.....0..0i131j0i10.kjk-S0Pk028&ved=0ahUKEwi_i4C8-ofnAhUHx4UKHe8OBtQQ4dUDCAw
