Ingredients
For the Breading
1 kilo chicken breast ( chopped )
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ cup cornstarch
½ cup all purpose flour
1 large egg
For the Teriyaki Sauce
⅓ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ginger ( minced )
3 cloves garlic ( minced )
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Sliced Quickmelt Cheese ( or any cheese )
Steps:
In a bowl; mix chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cornstarch, all purpose flour and egg. Mix well. Then deep fry in a pan with hot oil at medium heat.
Fry until all these are light brown, cook in batches. Flip to cook evenly then remove from the heat. Let this rest for 15 minutes before double frying, now at high heat for 2 minutes. Set aside.
In a pan at low heat, mix soy sauce, sugar, and honey until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil then add in ginger, garlic, and sesame seeds. Mix until the sauce has slightly reduced.
Once bubbling and thick add back the fried chicken. Toss until fully coated. Top with quickmelt cheese, cover until it melts. Then serve.
