The actual reason that the Gameface darts are lighter isnt inflated fps. Its kinetic energy density related. Laws in the US are based off Kinetic Energy Density, not just Kinetic Energy or fps. This is the highest the blaster could have been and still be considered a toy and go on shelves beside other toys.
@BradleyPhillipsYT
@BradleyPhillipsYT Год назад
That makes more sense, but aren't AF Pros 1gram?
@radioactivesdesigns3554

@BradleyPhillipsYT AFP is .96 and original bamboos are also .96. The difference is AFP blasters hit 150 at the most. All the blasters that come with bamboos are online only (the originals were .96g, next iteration were .75g, then .85g. This is marketing, since none of those blasters were even faster. It just allowed them to make worse blasters for 150fps.) Not the same. And dz max are wildly inconsistent with their weights. On average about .92. And still only 150fps or so.

No that’s not not correct. KED is only used for 8+ rated blasters. In the USA that’s 2500 Joules per square meter. 14+ rated blasters or pro grade blasters have no KED restrictions but they are only allowed to advertise up to 200 fps. The DZP MK4 firing 0.85 gram darts fired at 222 fps. That’s 1.95 Joules or 15850 Joules per square meter. 14+ rated pro blasters have no fps limits/laws/regulations because they aren’t targeted towards kids (12 and under). It depends on the company to decide their own fps/kinetic energy limits. Link to 222 fps DZP Mk 4: ru-vid.comX-pGeH8KH8s?feature=shared

For precision air rifle shooting the flat head wadcutter is the most accurate but obviously not for range, if the centre of a dome head is ever so slightly off then with air resistance it would sway way off, I would back it that the semi flat head of the worker bamboos are unbeatable as it's a sweet spot between the two styles, ballistically speaking.

Hi Bradley, I love these dart comparison videos! I always find these very helpful even if I dont play at these high velocities. Question: have you ever used the worker high end glow tip darts? (Red foam and white tips) Sadly for me I bought these thinking they were the same as the normal worker HE darts but found out that the foam for them are just a little narrow for 13mm inner diameter barrels and the darts are quite inconsistent. If you get a chance I would love to watch a video from you comparing the normal and glow tip HE darts. I think a lot of people would find the video helpful. Keep up with your videos, I love your content!

Ive found the included epp foam darts of the unicorn blaster to be pretty great too.....IF the heads are glued on straight. Theyre also hard tipped but the foam is also different. Theyve been up for sale seperately now and I bought 100 of them a while back to use in my kirin and 24 of them had crooked heads....so that is quite a lot...but the ones that are straight seem to work incredibly well. Dont have a chrono or as good of a test setup as you have so would be curious what your thoughts on em were. *The pointy tipped seem the best but they still go through a thick cardboard box at 20 meters so probably not the best to schoot at people, but great for target shooting. At the end all the darts are just inside the box you shot em into for easy collection. *the ones with suction cup were surprisingly good too. Though at 200 fps suction only works when firing at a window +\- 15-20 meters away, any closer and the dart fires too hard to stick haha), surprisingly still work well with a bearing scar. *the "cushion" ones arent very consistent but they do whistle quite loudly which is a fun gimmick. Also had the most misaligned heads compred to the other types by far. 14 out of the 24 bad ones I had were of the cushion type. And I only bought 30 of that type of which 14 were bad. I have 20 with suction cup of which only 1 was bad. and 50 with pointy tips of which 9 were bad. So the Cushions ones seem to have a higher production error rate than the others. Though they, in general, seem to have a higher production error rate than any other kind of dart ive used where a literal couple out of a hundred will be bad and not like 1/4th of em. Especialy at the prices they sell em for youd expect better(30-35 bucks for 100 darts)

unless you glue them in with too much glue, 150+ fps blasters will eventually "knock" the straws right out of the darts when they impact something. you don't get any performance benefits other then your darts lasting slightly longer and doing this will probably take your entire weekend. I think this was used in the olden times for full length darts back when 3rd party suppliers wasn't a thing and all people had were the really terrible elite darts that were pretty expensive. so people stuck straws in them once the darts started to wear down and crumple as a fix. Nowdays, you'd just buy good performance darts from anyone other then hasbro for cheap and they're usually more durable then the elite darts anyways.And that's with full lengths. Makes even less sense to do this for short darts.

I noticed the circular indentation in the center on the front surface of the Worker Bamboos' head tips. I've heard that this particular head design makes the dart more accurate in comparison to other non-indented dart heads. Are you able to confirm this with similar Worker Bamboos that don't have the indentation on front surface on the center of their tips?
@BradleyPhillipsYT
@BradleyPhillipsYT 11 месяцев назад
Pretty sure the indent is just a mold mark where they inject the material. Any benefit to accuracy would be coincidental.

I have hard tipped darts I bought on EBAY. I wouldn't use them in any game unless I'm running with a very low FPS rig. As it is getting hit with the regular "soft" tipped darts still hurts, especially at close range so I can't imagine using hard tipped darts not without body armor. The only scenario I can think of where they might be viable besides just using the hard tipped darts for target practice would be if your using them in a cold climate in winter. I imagine getting shot by one in a snow suit might not be too bad assuming of course that your blaster even works in freezing temperatures.

I hold all of my Nerf games at night in the Redwoods where I live therefore I only use glow-in-the-dark darts, this sucks because I'm forced to make all of my own darts out of worker gen 3+ glow-in-the-dark tips and other florescent foams. Only if someone could make an all florescent design dart.
@BradleyPhillipsYT

Glow darts are worse foam and worse tips than standard versions of the same darts, and because night games make up a small percentage of games, unfortunately not a lot of work goes into designs for them.

A bit random, but if airsoft is 'legal' in SA and only requires a field to make owning one legitimate. Why don't gel ball or paintball fields rebrand themselves as for airsoft also so that eventually we could acquire them under a legitimate reason? If someone were to invest in an airsoft field and not also do gel or paintball they would go bankrupt. Hard plastic tips? Gross. Edit: the precision on the non - bamboo hard tipped darts was horrific. and they don't re-use the darts at all in SG? Gross again. Just going by the results I don't see any reason to believe that the tips being hard plastic give any benefit with respect to precision, range, or velocity. The precision is a result of the interaction with the rifling - affected by the body and overall weight (wind resistance); the range is impacted by weight and thus how much momentum they can maintain (the whole dart overall); velocity is affected by the same characteristics as range but inversely so. Lastly, foliage can be punched through with a heavier dart even with a soft head. Point being: I have a hard time believing that hard tipped darts aren't an overall useless - to - bad idea.
@eldwitch
@eldwitch Год назад
If you think about it, it's very unlikely that no one will re-use darts across the population of an entire country. There are some players who choose to do so, but I would say they are in fact the exception, and even then, there are usually other players who will scavenge their darts at any given event, and darts end up being re-used many times anyway.
