Hi, it’s Zoe! Thank you for checking out this episode of Chef In A Dress! Today I’ll be making a Cape Verdean dish called Jagacida (Jag). Check it out and let me know what you think...

Here’s What You’ll Need:
1 lb of Linguica
1 Onion
2 Cups of Long-grain Rice
4 Cups of Vegetable Broth
2 Cloves of Minced Garlic
14 oz Can of Red Kidney Beans
2 Bay Leaves
.5 tsp of Paprika
2 tbsp of Olive Oil

Directions:
1. Cut onions, linguica (half moon) and garlic.
2. In a pot, add olive oil and linguica. Once linguica is browned add onion, garlic and mix.
3. Add vegetable broth, rice, beans, bay leaves, paprika, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low and let it cook for 20-30 minutes until the water has absorbed.
4. Once done, remove the bay leaves, stir, serve and enjoy!!!
