I remember that if he caught you having too much fun he would give you the “no smile” hand gesture. He would put his thumb and pointer finger together in front of his lips and then pull his fingers apart as of to straighten your smile. It worked every time. And don’t even think of whistling!!! He had an amazing sense of humor, intelligence, and wit that you don’t find very often. I know the lord will sure appreciate him and give him all the fresh and rare ingredients he can use in heavens kitchen. Thank You Chef Daniel Brophy! Rest In Peace.
You can tell he really knows his stuff. As a chef as well, I’m like yup his story is the same for so many other chefs. As far as how he got to where he was then. Rip Chef Brophy.
