You are absolutely right. Over the years, the history of food was hidden. Finding the roots must be an emotional journey, thank you for taking it and sharing with us. Mr. Twitty is resurfacing the history that was buried long ago..... very special.

Would love to see more "programming" such as this. The news and political aspect of R.M. is great as well but this is fabulous. I love to cook so this is fascinating to me as far as how cooking ties into our history. And I don't mean American history but our history all the way back to the motherland. Just put his name in and loaded my queue full of his videos. Wish I could meet him and work under him.
What he is talking about with African Americans' health is the same thing happening in India and China right now. They have the highest rates of diabetes in the world now because modern processed fast food has been introduced to them and their bodies are completely unadjusted to it. They are one generation past frequent starvation.
