No you can't. Don't undermine my profession. You can train anyone to be a cook but not to be a chef, being a chef is a want and a need that comes from you. You can't train that into someone. These two are NOT mutually exclusive
I personally feel the most important thing is to keep your knives sharp - be it a no brandname knife or the finest Japanese or German knife. Look at your local rediwallah chef! Spend a bit more and get some sharpening stones between 600-3000. If pushed get a 1000 grit one. Sharpen the knives regularly that will be more useful
Good Knife Sharpening stones are simply not available in India.. in closest i have seen are Ghadi Marka Combination Carborundum Stone..6x2x1..which has fine side and a rough side..approximately 60 grit and 300 grit..approximately ₹ 250 each, these are meant for carpenters to sharpen the chisels etc... sadly the fine 1000, 1500, 2000 grit stones perhaps only available in Metros..
@@vijayshimla1 Amazon kis marz ki dawa hai! If you have a friend or family abroad ask them. When I started out I had a 1000/3000 combination stone. That is more than enough! If your knives are REALLY blunt it will take a while to get an edge with a 1000 grit stone though!
Hey ranveer I ordered very expensive three knives with a block yesterday since I want something that'll last me a life time. I hope you approve of it - 9 inch chef knife, 5 inches tomato serrated knife and a 3 1/2 inch pairing knife. They are all wusthof classic ikon. I am a very very passionate home cook who is a huge fan of you. 🤗

Hey Sandeep, the MRP of the Victorinox Swiss Classic Carving Knife, 15 cm is INR 2,760. The MRP of the Swiss Classic Santoku Knife-Fluted Edge, 17 cm is INR 4,190. The MRP of the Swiss Classic Carving Knife, 19 cm is INR 3,000.
@@VictorinoxIndia you guys are selling knifes or smartphones. Your knifes are so expensive. I can buy new knifes every year in this price. Only rich can afford it.

Save up and buy a great knife and you will keep it for life. I have my German made 8" Chef knife from almost 20 years and it is still working great. Victorinox is also a great brand, and I have a large collection of Swiss Army knives made ny them.
I use a Japanese Usuba style blade as my go-to for most vegetable and fruit heavy work, along with a Messermeister boning knife for heavier meats and a pairing knife for light work, and finally a Japanese Deba style blade for all poultry and fish.
@@ganduchutney I live in US. However, I think you should be able to find European knife brands on Amazon India. As for Japanese knives, I got those from store.burrfection.com/ Most 'Japanese' knives on Amazon here are Chinese made Japanese style knives.
India will have a huge demand for slaughter knife and clevers.... In the coming years Rest is your strategy.... How to create the nitche.... Need to work upon the handles.... Wodden 🤔
I cook very rarely, as a hobby you can say. Back then I used to buy a lot of knives because they used to lose their sharpness quite frequently. Once I was at home centre to buy few kitchen stuff and came across Victorinox knife (a set of three). Was bit reluctant to purchase as it was around 1,500 INR for the set of three. Considering a knife for Indian kitchen it was costly and most of us would agree to this. Went ahead with the purchase and brought it home. This was in 2014 and it’s 2021 now. From the set I have used only one knife and balance two are still lying somewhere in my kitchen. People looking for a good knife for your kitchen can blindly purchase a Victorinox knife. Trust me. Now I am planning to upgrade to a bigger knife of Victorinox in coming days that’s why I’m here watching this video. Your products are amazing Victorinox. Cheers to the team!
Means a total cost of INR 7,784 Or USD 107.08 ....(today rates) Not bad.... For an utterly precise knife from a renowned company.... 👍 But if You.... Victorinox.... Really want people to purchase them.... Ypu need to have Offline Stores.... A Must..... Why??? Well we can purchase but can't sharpen them on wet stones.... This needs training Moreover many..... Many well get the sharpening done on the stores.... A better way to interact with customers..... Human Touch.... Very important for long term business .....

@@VictorinoxIndia you only have 1 kitchen damascus knife that too which costs more than the og real japanese damascus knife. Try to bring more option plz . i love your knifes 😊
It’s very costlier please give us the option which is cheaper but good then I wish you’re using is a specially meant for the chefs and not for those who are cooking as a hobby I tried so many brands in the market which are equally good and the price is far less than the product which you are showing us
Hey Abhay, we do have fluted edge knives. The fluted edge is due presence of air pockets in the design, this prevents food from sticking to the knife while chopping. :)
I have got those victorinox santoku knives.buying them is easy but maintaining their sharpness is not in your hand if you don't have proper sharpener and knowledge.
Hey Prabir, Victorinox knives are available on Amazon. Please check this link to browse through our collection on our Amazon brand store. amzn.to/3dlBupG
