Roberta's, the pizza-centric restaurant in Brooklyn, has become so popular that Jay-Z and Beyonce are regular diners. But Roberta's had humble beginnings as a pizza place in a neighborhood that people once disregarded. Fast-forward a few years later, and their massive compound now includes a bakery as well as tasting-menu restaurant Blanca.
Roberta's head chef Carlo Mirarchi let us tag along for a night out as we hit up some NYC's best spots. First off was The Ten Bells wine bar for a couple of bottles of vino with friends. We then head down the street to the newly reopened Mission Chinese to meet up with head chefs Danny Bowien and Angela Dimayuga and eat some wings and oysters. After that is Enrique Olivera's restaurant Cosme for duck carnitas and a ton of mezcal. Finally, we wrap things up back at Blanca with a Roberta's staff reunion, some porchetta, and steak. Enjoy this peek into one of NYC's most popular and influential restaurants.

I got pasta from Roberta's one time and it was undercooked (almost crunchy). I told the waiter and he said that's how it's supposed to be served (al dente) and acted like I was an idiot. Oh man...

I live in non hipster queens and Bushwick is half hipsters have poorer latinos and black people. Depends where you are but bushwick used to be the deep ghetto but people like Roberta's changed it

i have been to Roberta's and the line was crazy during dinner time. we ended up buying pizza for take-out. Their pizza was pretty good. Wish we had the chance to explore more dishes on the menu.

It always interest me when these hipsters come into an existing neighborhood and act like people in that neighborhood did not exist prior to them coming in there. Was watching the pizza show and they basically stated that the neighborhood grew around this place. Please, stop with the nonsense.

+Enrico Bonomi not that I would argue with 21-piece serving, that would be awesome actually, but he was making those servings at Blanca which does a 20-something course menu so the individual portions are small.
