He is a Michelin star chef. Those chefs cook only with the best ingredients... they care about reputation and NAME , it was wrong in the first place to him agree to come on the boat. The favor which turns out a disaster.

Since Tom was trained by Gordon Ramsey, I'm sure in this context his annoyance about quality control and serving the best food and not giving a sh** about guests and what they have to say came from Gordon Ramsey himself. IMO Tom is a top chef, just not a chef continuously in the spotlight followed around by reality tv crew lol

If fairness, while he might be a total diva, I can understand his anger about the frozen seafood - especially the scallops. Unless it’s fresh, they taste like milky garbage no matter how well you cook them.

This makes sense as the food is being made for the guests, it doesn’t matter what the crew or anyone thinks: in the industry, the food has got to literally cater to the customers palette 🙂

The guests liked it thou, it was sandy putting it in their heads that it wasn’t ‘good enough’

i am a chef over 20 yrs and the worst people to deal with are owners ...one chef 70+ hours...should be able to clean after himself with no kitchen porter cooking for masses of people with random food orders..ingredient inventory orders, plate costing , kitchen management , hazard analysis , hygiene rotas and deep cleans ,staff meals etc we only have one pair of hands!!!!! and owners are LUCKY to have us!! you would`nt see anyone who works in a office or similar industry have to leap over these hurdles and stress working like a dog in a hot stressful enviroment ...but its always well your a chef thats what they do...no not anymore this sector is done treating us in this manner for the sake of our sanity

I work in a restaurant by far the worst people to deal with are owners especially when there mentality is you don’t like it go work somewhere else

Chefs are known to be pretty dramatic, but its usually the ones who cook well. His food actually looks amazing, and the stress of the job would be intense.. its true tho, even tho they can improvise, the food really is only as good as the quality of the ingredients..
